I saw that Sprue Brothers has some of these and I'm really not familiar with them other than they look like old 21st molds.. Anyway, I thought some might be interested? They also have their JSI stuff on sale..

Re: 1/18 Flightwing P-51D's?
Yeah, they are the same as the 21c retooled P-51D from 2005/2006 that we used to get for $40-$50. Same figure and accessories. They added extra paint details that were not on the 21c planes, including some weathering and extra stenciling/signage and they all have straight propeller blades. No modifications to the tooling like JSI did with some of the old 21c moulds.
My local Hobbytown USA store had these in stock for a few months. They did sell, but slowly. All had some sort of QC issue whether it was the unpainted instrument hood, the backwards "C" on the Hun Hunter plane (the one I liked best in the bunch) and other small defects. Really, for the price, they were too similar to the 21c models of which I have enough of, so I never bit.
Same company has also released repaints of the old 21c Mig-15 tooling and I've heard rumors about them releasing the TBF Avenger. I may break down for an Avenger if they turn out to be true

Oh ok, well I don't follow the 1/18th crowd so it sounded new to me..loltmanthegreat wrote:Yeah, they are the same as the 21c retooled P-51D from 2005/2006 that we used to get for $40-$50.
