Future Floor Wax?

Post by macvsog » Mon Nov 22, 2004 3:48 pm

so, i have had some future floor wax and baby powder sitting in my "weapons" cabinent for a while now.
As i will be ordering the new bbi sherman soon and doing a custom on it, i assume there will be some holes to fill just like the 21st version of it.
I have been told that future floor wax and baby powder mixed together will act as a perfect hole filler.

questions:

1.) how much wax and baby powder do i use e.g. 1:1 3:6 what?

2.) does this methode fill holes well and is it easy to use? does it dry quickly or will i be waiting for days?

3.) Is it strong, will it just crumble and fall out after set and painted.. is it strong enough to hold up?

4.) does it look good? take paint and sand nicely? if sanded will is chip? if painted does it take on a different color?

thanks a lot

i'd save yourself some trouble and go get some auto body filler or go to a local hobby shop and get some green stuff filler putty (which is basically auto body filler).

They're thick, dry fast, don't chip or crack, sand well and can cover large gaps. No mixing, no fuss, just squish it from the tube, let it dry a day or so and sand.
