OK, here's a first - 2 headsculpts with a figure! The new Sahara figures have long robes and an extra head with face scarf. These guys look like perfect custom fodder for modern special forces. The extra heads are much appreciated and it must be easy to pop off the heads if there are two with each figure. Very cool way to make a blah figure very cool.
However, can a case of figures consist of just 2 diff. guys

? I hope they didn't ship too many of them.

I had no idea the figures would be available seperately, I thought they were supposed to come with the vehicles. I wonder if they still will, or maybe those'll be different?

Long story guys! I had to have them though. Call me crazy but the Sahara stuff has a little soft spot in my heart. I had to have them for my carded collection... badly!

Possibly ok for modern stuff too, like enemies or whatnot, but the figures do look neat. I'm in for a handful of those.

In the last couple of weeks, I have started to see these figures at my local Walmarts. While series 2 & 3 of the Marines seem to be selling well, the Sahara figures seem to be warming the pegs on these cold winter days. Anyone got some pictures of these guys without their robes? Depending on what they look like underneath that robe I may have to pick them up to use as hostages or civilians in my dios.

They have basically 0 detail under the robes. The torso is simply a smooth tube shape, nothing more.
I'm amazed what a great removable headwrap the wraps are when you boil/pop them off the heads. The heads are comical without the turbins too.

Exactly - the torso is just a tube of green plastic so if you want to still use the figure after you remove the robe you need a back up plan. I just added a pic to my webshots that shows Giordano with an DTC Joe ammo vest instead of his robe. Eric Bana has the Joe helmet and headset, and the other guy has a DTC Joe shotgun.

I will snap a better pic and get it up.
