What a terrible scheme for a first release.

Looks like a 1976 BiCentennial aircraft.

Would only probably get one HM E-2C Hawkeye, and definitely not this one.

Give us regular squadrons from famous carriers, or missions.

Huge pass.

super duper news. When i saw the thread title i was afraid it would be 1/144.

A Vigilante and now this. Awesome. I too will wait for a more desirable scheme. This will be an expensive tool, so they are no doubt going to milk it all they can. I can forsee 25 or so Hawkeyes eventually.

I thought the same thing, 1/144. Wouldn't mind having a 1/72 Hawkeye, it's different. Maybe they'll get enough complaints/constructive critism and redo the scheme.

possibly, but as i said they're going to want to milk the mold and squeeze out all the schemes they can. This first one will probably be limited edition, maybe 500 units or so....that will help it sell better and give HM 500 more units worth of profit from the mold. I'm sure there will be plenty of follow up schemes to satisfy all....

Flying Mule on the price of the Hawkeye:

"The final price of this item has yet to be announced by the manufacturer. Our best estimate is that it could be from $100 to $150 (or more),"

In today's market, $99 is acceptable for a model of this size... I want to get one, but NOT this first release!

Someone pointed out there's a disclaimer to the Aikens $99.95 price:

"*** Current Price is an estimate of the actual cost. The actual cost of this item will be updated as soon as more information is released.***"
