Or a King Tiger XD
I suppose the chances of a VDV line are fairly dismal at this point...

Re: New BBi
If it is a completely new product I'm buying it. The only thing I've added recently was one of the SS sets. The lack of information on the Harrier and the 190A have really gotten me disillusioned with 18. Over the past year or so I started collecting flight helmets, gas masks, and inert ordnance. At heart tho I've been hoping for some new 1/18. If someone is finally going to release something that isn't another Mustang I'm a buyer.

Re: New BBi
I'd love to see some new WW2 figures... preferably something different, but anything at this point is at least interesting.
Some SMALL vehicles would be nice to see too... Kubel, Jeep... Stuff everyone would dig but can't get easily anymore, and displays easily because it's not huge. They did the LAV, why not try a Greyhound or something.

Re: New BBi
Wasn't it Mike from BBI that used to say we'll "have to wait and see"
Although the prices were a bit higher, I've been very happy with BBI's recent repaint/minor-retoolings of some of the modern and WWII items. Still a lot they could rehash in 1:18 -- the AH-6 littlebird, the Kiowa, the Apache, the P-51, the Zero, the Corsair, and the Hellcat to name a few. The Dauntless and Wildcat still need repaints in the 1:32 scale.
Quite a bit more they could do in WWII in 1:18. If they made German figures that match the quality of their US Infantry and paratroopers, they could be some of the best 1:18 Germans out there. Lots of possibilities...

Re: New BBi
Another F-4 is an obvious choice! New 1/32 aircraft would be great. Surprised BBI doesn't give another 1/18 Blue Angels a go, in proper gloss finish (Or an aggressor scheme)!

What about an ME-163 Komet in 1:18 ???
I asked Jim@Merit this question back in August 2012 (Dauntless thread)....
I have a
, a little off subject......but would Merit ever consider making an Me-163 Komet in 1:18?
"Merit and JSI will not be making a Me-163 Komet,.... because there is no need for another one

I'm still hoping for one...from whoever

Re: New BBi
That's certainly one I would be interested in. From a business/manufacturing perspective it probably makes sense too. The ME-163 is a small, simple plane, but popular. I would guess the investment to produce it would be low and unit sales would be comparable to anything else.normandy wrote:What about an ME-163 Komet in 1:18 ???![]()

Re: New BBi
It's "new" figures at Target. A mix of old stuff with 2-3 that never made it out of the prototype phase originally:

Re: New BBi
Cool
This will get me looking in the toy aisle at Target again. Very glad to see the re-appearance of realistic military toys at a major retail store.
I like the figures and they are giving us some new headsculpts and body designs, which is always a good thing. I have a use for a lot of these types of special operations soldiers, so assuming the availability is good and widespread, I'll be getting a lot of them. Glad to see the release of the old Delta Force figure as that was such a rare one back in the day.
Interesting that they do not seem to have as detailed paint applications as the BBI figures from several years ago. The remind me more of the original BBI figures we got back in 2003/2004 at the start of the BBI Elite Force line, save the articulation is improved. Lots of details simply left a single color or not painted. I guess I can't ask for too much these days, but considering the quality of the older figures and how readily cheap and available many of them were at one time, its just a little odd to me.
Also funny they now have very GI Joe-like code names - actually many of the exact same names like Duke, Hawk, Cutter, Snake, etc.
But again, nice to see that BBI Elite Force will again be at general retail.

Besides figures, bbi has other items to launch at the same time. Will post later. If you are bbi fans, you might able to guess what they are.

They are still showing the HUMVEE with the old style turret. That would be cool.

BBI Collectible We would say ..... very good price. MSRP for 5-figure pack will be around $20. We position it as toy, not premium collectible grade.
BBI Collectible Sorry that the new line will not available outside USA at this moment. If anything change, will post here again.

Re: New BBi
Well... At least the figures are decent.
This is very much like that cheap BBI line that was out several years ago, again at target. Considering the excellent tooling for their original Littlebird and Desert Patrol Vehicle, which date to 2003, the above toolings are a joke. The M113 is simply laughable and these make all the PTE stuff at Big Lots look like high-quality models.
Funny thing is that those original vehicles were marketed for kids as well, yet were essentially accurate scale models... However, BBI did state this new line was not for collectors and hopefully sales of these items to a younger audience gives BBI the funding to make more of their collector grade planes and vehicles. What BBI seems to be doing is actually a good strategy as it works to ensure their survival and hopefully make more of the things we like.
In any event, I'll keep an eye out for the figure packs as I like what I'm seeing with those
