Gemini or Hobby Master Skyraider?

Post by aferguson » Sun Mar 30, 2014 3:27 pm

which should i get? I can get the Gemini for about $15 less than the HM.

The Gemini is First of the Fleet and the HM is HA2906 Dieter Dengler.

It looks from pics that the Gemini has the better ordnance load but i'm not sure if there are extras with either model.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

HM is the better model for a few reasons, but the Gemini is more than okay.

Kind of up to you to decide if saving $15 is worth it.

I have the Hobby Master A-1 (the VA-25 version from USS Midway that shot down the North Vietnamese Mig-17 on June 20, 1965) and have been very satisfied with it. My particular plane has a decent ordinance load, functionality, and unique history. Like most older Hobby Master planes, it is mostly diecast. Both manufacturers seem to have made good quality replicas - and I have only the one example - so can't provide an item-for-item comparison, but part of me would say to stick with the Hobby Master example...
