good pre built 1/72 me-262?
good pre built 1/72 me-262?
Can somebody recommend a good pre built 1/72 Me-262? The Oxford doesn't look right. The FOV doesn't look too bad. Not sure if i like the Dragon Wings one.

AFERGUSON:
I asked the same question on the diecast message board about two years ago. The replies were the Corgi and FOV were recommended over the Dragon--mainly because the Dragon doesn't have the hoop antenna.

It's Corgi hands down. The Fov models have ugly screw holes under their wings; the Corgis don't. Also, there are more Corgi schemes to pick from.

I've had bad luck with those FOV stands breaking.
Re: good pre built 1/72 me-262?
the corgis are nice BUT i don't like how they've done the canopy, it's like the oxford/atlas one with a seperate insert for the canopy area that ruins the smooth lines around the cockpit. I think i can live with screw holes under the wings over the rough cockpit area, so i may go with the FOV. Seems there's room for a new and better 262 in 1/72.
thanks for the input guys.

I've always liked the FOV ME-262 personally. Aferg, you will like the removable covers on the gun bay, assuming FOV still incorporates those type of features on their 1:72 models. When first released back in 2005, the FOV 1:72 aircraft had removable engine covers on some and opening gun bays on others, but I wouldn't be surprised if FOV cheapened out and deleted such features to save costs...

I have to agree with Tristan on this, I really like the FOV Me262 and I think it's one of their better castings if you can overlook the screwholes on the bottom. Second choice would be Corgi then Dragon. Dragon's is nice, but there is something just not quite right with the canopy, it's too short or something.
