Military Toy Shop Visit

I was working up north today and was able to stop at the Military Toy Shop in Beaver Creek, Ohio just east of Dayton and very near Wright Pat. and the Air Force Museum.

I was granted permission to take a few pictures and post them here. This post and the comments are totally unsolicited. This place is amazing You get to see in person things that haven't been sold in a retail store for years as well as a lot of things normally only seen in pictures on-line. The store features not only vintage 1/18 but all the latest Merit/JSI offerings. They buy and sell vintage items brought in by customers and still have a good selection of 21st Century planes.

The photos highlight mostly 1/18 scale but a large part of the shop is dedicated to smaller scale die cast including about every Corgi I've ever seen and a great many vehicles, planes and brand names I didn't know existed. There's huge scale RC Warbirds, young kids toys, 1/6 scale Dragon and G.I. Joe figures and even loose out of box rare items.


This is a must stop for any trip to or through the Dayton area. Did I mention it was about 15 minutes from the Air Force Museum?

Thats cool Dennis, we been thinking about taking a trip and this may be a good reason to visit the airforce base.

How are the prices?

In California, my work travels sometimes take me a little north of my area (Stanislaus County for those familiar) and I've toyed with the idea of paying BadCat an in-person visit

Isaiah's place is awesome! I was in his shop last summer. My son and I had a great time in there. It was so cool to see 21st Century items filling shelves like they use to. It looks like he has a bunch more stuff since I was there.
His shop is really close to the Air Force Museum.

Im curious to know what his prices are like. Are they ebayish or a bit below?

I stopped in last year while visiting my daughter at WPAFB. Prices are on the high side but not completely unreasonable. Very small store really, but packed full of our old favorites.

Also, their website hasn't seemed to be updated in ages. I actually thought they had closed down. glad to hear they are still open.

Thanks for kind comments on the store. Regarding the website: We have had it completely re-done over the winter and will have an official launch in Feb. Check back in Feb and you will see it loaded with all of our inventory and coming soon items.

That store reminds me of the gift shop at the George Patton Museum in Kentucky. There was FoV of every scale lining the walls. I only brought in 20 bucks thinking it was only a nick nack shop, all I could afford was a 1/72 tiger.

It's so refreshing to hear about a brick and mortar store selling all those goodies. I'd love to visit it. It would be like when I was a kid and visited the toy section at Christmas at Sears or Marshall Field's...
