What figures would you prefer?
This is just a very simple poll. I am curious to find out where everyone's preferences lie in regards to 1:18 figures. I personally would like to see some other WW II nationalities represented, some updated Vietnam, or the Platoon movie figures be the next figure release. I am tired of the Marines. Series One of these was by far the best of the Marines in my opinion. And the Battle of the Bukge re-releases are nice, but have a very limited usage as far as dioramas go. I would like to see a re-release of the Japanese figures though or even a re-release of the original U.S., Germans, and Vietnam figures.
I'd like to see something new and fresh. WWI has a special place in my heart, especially with all of the hardships those soldiers had to deal with. I'd love to see a 1:18 diorama of a trench section. After walking through the WWI display at the Imperial War Museum years ago, it really hit me what those guys went through.

I had to vote for WWII Allies. Any WWII figs would do actually. The only real decision for me was between Axis or Allies. I really think someone needs to open the gate to the Russian line of troops, planes, and vehicles. These people need to be represented too. What would we have done without them?

thats a really hard one for me, i would love to see more WWII axis and allies, but i would also love to see some WWI figures.
and historic would also be pretty cool.
i persoanlly have no interest whatsoever in modern military, i just dont find the uniformsinteresting at all.
and personally if they are going to get into doing film figures i would love to see some THE LONGEST DAY or THE GREAT ESCAPE over platoon.
a robert mitchum or john wayne a charles bronson james garner james coburn, steve mcqueen with that motorcycle would be so cool.

Left them stranded somewhere in Poland and taken Berlin ourselveskevrut wrote:I really think someone needs to open the gate to the Russian line of troops, planes, and vehicles. These people need to be represented too. What would we have done without them?

Yeah, there would have been the casualties, but the Germans (excluding the Nazi heirarchy) would have much rather surrendered to the western allies. Then we would have had a bit of a stronger hand in the opening stages of the Cold War. It almost happened too. US forces were less than 100 Km west of Berlin when told to halt and let the Russians take it.
To get back on topic, though, I voted for modern troops, as some accurate regular Army or Marines grunts with the new style of articulation would be awesome. We could use some WWII allies, however, in the form of British and Russian troops.
well,
With no Eastern Front there would have been no surrender T-man....
But anyway, I had to vote for WWII Allies. We need British figures and Russian figures. We have US, German, Japanese, we need to round out the big 5. I don't care if they split the set of 6 - 3 Euro Brits and 3 desert. Or 4 & 2. Same with the Russians - 4 cold weather and 2 damn cold weather.
With the new figure repaint system there could be plenty of variation with time
The only reason I did not vote for Modern US guys (I want ones like McFarlane
) is because I don't think it can be done. It has been tried a few times by bbi, with the Humvee driver being the best, but there is something about modern regulars in 1:18 scale that just never look write. Never look like the DT 6" guys, or the McFarlane guys, which is what we want if any at all.

Hi Guys
I would have to say XD WWII British Infantry in Normandy.
But would still love to see the 1st XD WWII US Infantry figures get redone I.E. removable helmets, Uniforms made to scale for figures bodies Uniforms looked alittle small, the infantrymen uniform in WWII was made to fit large for easy movment in combat.
SGT. Saunders

All of them! Why not, with Star Wars winding down, what else can I blow money on?
I put "Other" with the hopes of one day seeing some articulated Civil War Figures. I think these would have greater mass appeal than WWI, and we've already seen figures in the other areas. May not be the best figures, but at least there's some. All I have of the Civil War is a few Papo Union troops and Playmobil cannons.
