does anyone have the Modelpower Boeing P-26 Peashooter? If so, would you mind measuring it for me? Length and wingspan. It's a nice looking little model, with 2 nice schemes available. The quoted scale is 1/63 but i never trust Modelpower's scale quotes because they are wrong a lot. I'm wondering if this will fit in with a 1/72 collection, so i'd like to get the actual dimensions so i can figure it out.
thanks to anyone who can help,

Andy:
I used to have the blue one in my collection, but sold it awhile back.
I do not remember the dimensions, but I personally was less than impressed with it. The panel lines were not too great, no rigging wires, they also put two small bombs under the cockpit area. The P-26 could carry these, but it looked a bit awkward on the model. Also the radio mast was way too large and thicker than the prop blades.
If you are going to buy one, I'd go for the green one. The green one looks better in person to me. The blue one was too light of a blue...almost sky blue. And I've never seen a P-26 scheme with such a light blue.
Hope this helps.
Corey

Go for any of the Hobby Master 1:48 P-26 models instead. Greater variety of paint schemes and a fantastic tooling.

Re: does anyone have the Modelpower Boeing P-26 Peashooter?
I have several of the MP P-26s, AF, and I believe that the stated scale is correct. I would say that they go well with 1:72 scale models, however, if you want a better 1:72nd scale version of this plane I'd recommend the Amercom version, which is a scaled down HM replica and is much more realistic looking while still cheap.
Re: does anyone have the Modelpower Boeing P-26 Peashooter?
thanks for the info guys. Epap......i saw the Amercom one but didn't like the paint scheme offered, which is why i was interested in the MP version, but after reading Corey's review, i'll pass on the MP and reconsider the Amercom.
