It is, that B-52 would be my fathers he built while he was a teen, and it couldn't be better then now a part of my collection!

Try to get them all in one picture if possible, can get the size differences in all the models!

I love that B-52. I assuming its a kit? After finding a scrapped one on the south end of Rogers dry lake bed at Edwards AFB many years ago while there on a Boy Scout camping trip, I've always been a fan of the early-model versions of that aircraft. Heck, I have a small part of a B-52 wing sitting alongside my house

Yes it's a kit,
You know, bringing up that you have a part of one outside your house, I also collect aircraft parts, the 3 that I have that really stick out though are from my grandfather, on is an altimeter that when he was a kid he jumped the fence of clintonsherman AB and took out of an avenger, the second is a small broken part of the wood base where the pilots seat slides in a zero (WWII bring back)
Last but not least is a burnt bloodstained piece of the cockpit wall of a B-47 ejection pod that failed to open its parachute, my grandfather explained it as opening a can of tomato soup!!! Nasty huh?
Yeah, a little off subject, but just thought I'd share...

Nice start, THP. Question: are you focusing in on any particular eras, battles, countries, etc? Also, are there certain restrictions, such as price or display mode, which will limit you to some manufacturers or lines?

Re: Beginning on my 1/72 scale aircraft fleet
I'm not focused on any battles, when it comes to country's, like an F-15 I want it in US markings going by the maker of the aircraft (McDonald-Douglas) it's a US company, and pricing I like to keep low, so I don't buy from dragon or hobby master, unless I can find a deal on ebay, these 1/72 jets are only $20 shipped (china post) so I like to keep it around that low price, and if there's a model I really want that only a company that HM has, I normal will just build a plastic model of it, I'm not MADE of money...Epap wrote:Nice start, THP. Those look nice for the price. Can't tell they're not diecast from here.
Many of us around here are cool with that. After all the 1:18 and 1:32 planes we've bought over the years, they're all plastic too.

Got a new Diecast this week, the corgi flight Red Arrows BAE Hawk, nice Diecast for the price, it is a bit plain, but still has some good detail, got it from the flyingmule, so you can see some pics on there, but I'll get some pictures up on here in a little while..
