What year/model M5 did 21st use for their R/C

What year or model did 21st century use for making of this tank. I'm thinking about repainting and customizing it for historical accuracy. Something in the ETO. Any inside?

The U.S. didn't really use year to differentiate between models of the same vehicle, (on tanks at least, not sure about soft-skins) unlike the Soviets (T-34 Model 1942 vs T-34 Model 1943).

The 21st M5 is based on the M5A1, replacing the M3A3 by 1943. Just google M5 Stuart, Stuart VI (British designation), and you'll find lots of info about them. My recommendation is to visit armor modelling sites, and look at their Stuarts, because those guys are nitpickers in details.

Good luck with your customization!

The designation "M5" is the model of the Stuart Light Tank. The US started WW2 with the M3A3 Stuart Light Tank. Main difference is in the front of the hull. I have a few pics of the M3A3 on my Webshots. Early in the war the M3A3 was replaced by the M5 Stuart Light Tank. The M5 was used in ALL theaters of WW2 although the M3A3 did hang on with the M5 in the Pacific where the M3A3 was a match for the Japanese tanks. In Europe the M3A3 and the M5 were no match for German armor. The M5 became support vehicles for infantry against infantry fights and the M5 were used as scouts along with M-20/8 Armored Cars. They were outclassed by all the German vehicles but the small Panzer units. The main gun being a 37mm was just a pop gun compared to the big guns used by Gerry.
