 Check out Beau Cunnyngham's site for plans for 54MM WW2 US Marines figures.

Very good news. They will go well with the TSSD Marines and possibly with the old Marx Marines.

But no real photos yet.
I just don't understand his business strategy? The plastic WWII market, already has an abundance of US MARINES in 1:32.
Here is a list of makers that have already successfully created US MARINES in 1:32 plastic:

AIRFIX
BRITAINS DEETAIL
BMC
TSSD
MARX #1
MARX #2
JEAN
DULCOP
AIRFIX MULTI POSE KIT

I make this list to illustrate why small toy soldier companies don't do as well as they could. Weak choices result in poor sales, due to lack of interesting subject matter.
A better alternative perhaps would be "WWII US Jungle fighters" wearing boney hats?
Sorry if I offend.

Hardly offended, but...

Actually, I really look forward to their release, I'll never have enough USMC, or for that matter, any well sculpted and posed WWII figs. I hadn't heard of this company, but the Civil War troops look good, will probably get some.
Also, I've never seen Britains plastic or Airfix American Marines outside of of the multi-pose figures,a nybody got links to pics of the same?

I didn't say I wouldn't buy ANY new decent set of 1:32 USMC.
I was just expressing the danger to small manufacturers in choosing an already over produced subject matter.
Here are the BRITAINS DEETAIL MARINES:

And here are the AIRFIX MULTI-POSE kits:

The multi-pose kits are fantastic.
I was trying not to offend "Cunnyngham Collectibles" who's future project the USMC will be.

I believe the Britain Deetail are Army (US infantry). From my experience infantry refers to the Army and not the Marines. I could be mistaken. I'll defer to anyone who served in either branch of the service.... I any and every event, I welcome any new 1/32 WWII through the present.

If you look closely at the BRITTAN'S US INF. they actually look like MARINES.

But lets not split hairs and mince words.
I will happily buy and welcome ANY 1:32, WWII set that is released!
Unless they are completely terrible.
I just get frustrated sometimes with all the waiting and possibilities of "WHAT COULD BE".

Before we all get really excited, please remember that Beau mentioned that the USMC are in the early stages of sculpting. He hasn't been able to afford to produce his Union "sack coat" or "Western" infantry set yet, so don't hold your breath waiting for the Marines.

I will certainly buy them when they become available - I have been favorably impressed with the Confederate infantry he produced. I wish him well o this project!

The suspense is unbearable...

...but I'll try and remain sedate
BTW, does anybody remember the misguided marketing moment when the Deetail figures where released as UN troops with blue helmets and a goofy polka-dot camofluage? In any case, I'm glad they're still around, they were generally well done and stand the test of time. I wish their vehicles and rescuue helo woud be re-released, but since they were metal construction, I doubt if I'll live to see it...

To this day, I still don't own any of the DEETAIL US inf.
If I ever came across any of those badly painted UN figures, I would buy them up and just spray them with a flat olive drab and repaint them because they really are decent sculpts.
