Need some help please
I need help with a few things and questions.
1. Can anyone post a link to a picture checklist of all 21st Century figures? I kinda need a reference photo of the figures to determine what ones I need.
2. Anyone know why we have yet to see any WW II sniper figures or at least a figure with say a Springfield rifle?
3. Can anyone give me a link to a good close up picture of the InToyz 1:18 Germans? I would like to see them in detail to determine if they are worth trying to track down.
4. Can anyone post a link to a close up picture of the FW-190 series of planes pilot out of the package? He looks like he might be a very interesting figure, but I have never seen him close up.
5. Does anyone have any of the PlanB Toys WW II or Call of Duty figures? How historically accurate are they? What is the quality like?

I can help you with a few of your questions...
For the checklist of the 21c figures, you may want to look at the 21st Century Toys website. They are continually updating their archive with photos of the figures, aircraft and vehicles (thanks, in part, to the photographic work of our discussion board leader, P51
) You will find photos of all the S1 US & German troops, the Viet Nam figures, the S2 US & German Paras, many of the WWII pilots, and the Modern figures. The Marines, BoB troops, and Japanese have not been added yet. The online stores Badcattoys & The Toy Federation have a pretty good selection of those figures - with pictures.
Explaining why a WWII sniper figure has not been made is tough as one would have to guess the thinking that goes on behind each release of figures at the 21c (or BBI) headquarters. For example, why do we get German soldiers with MP-44s and not the more common (historically speaking) MP-40s? Why so many paratroopers and not more basic infantry? It probably has to do with recognizability and sellability. The companies are the ones who decide what gets made.
As for the FW-190 pilot, I know better pictures have been taken by someone somewhere, but here's a shot I once took of mine as part of a diorama photo (where I tried to replicate an actual WWII photograph). The figure is in a black uniform with tan chute straps, silver zippers & buckles, a reddish "scarf" around the neck inside the jacket collar and the flight helmet is dark brown. It didn't come with an O2 mask, this one being taken from a US pilot figure. The articulation is pretty much similar to the 21c S2 Paras and BoB figures. This same pilot has been released with the new ME-109G repaints as well. Gotta love the expression

Thanks for the pictures guys! Can anyone post a picture of the black uniformed figure that comes with the Motorworks Tiger? He looks like he might be a version of the German Officer figure, but since he is in the turret and I don't own one of the Tigers I would like to see a close up picture of the figure.
ahh!
Whoa - P! You have WAY too many megapixels...that guy has some kind of skin disease..

Re: xd
Kev, they're 4" and they are kinda of toyish. As much as I have tried, imo they just don't look right. The SEALS from that set are cool though, especially the Jungle guys. The Swat guys had some good gear and nice articulation (including ankle). I have still have pics of the protos of S2 by Intoyz which were villains. I will send to Centone for the archive folder.kevrut wrote:Are the Intoys figs 3.75"? Kinda toyish compared to 21C or BBI.
MM,
He has the right Tanker if you scroll over to the right. Just the standard 21st (full size) tanker is what was packed in with the Diecast Tiger.
