THP, you should do a 1/144 C-5 Galaxy after the C-17. The Galaxy will dwarf the Globemaster.

Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
I thought I had all of them, I never saw the F-117. I guess there could be more.aferguson wrote:JR: that's neat. Do you have them all do you thnk? I knew about all the ones you have shown except the X-29. I have the common six ones now. I didn't want the predator and x-45 as i'm not into drones/uav's. I need the yellow northrop, the wright flyer and it seems, the x-29 too but all those seem to be hard to find. I imagine i'll come upon them one day.
They also made an F-117, so there may indeed be even more. You'd think there would be others besides just the wright flyer in the 'legends of flight' line, but maybe it died before it got going.
As far as the C-5, heres a couple of shots of the one we have. My son had to pull it out of the bone yard. Its pretty old and needs some restoration. With it is an even older 747 ( probably over 40 years old)!

Found a group of X-Planes on ebay. They cost more when they are sold one at a time.

Have you guys noticed the 1:144th scale kit put out by Fukagu of the Nakajima G10N super bomber----that in the long run failed to materialize. Here's a picture from eBay:

I've skipped over that one from time to time on eBay, it would be cool to have, but for that price?!? No..

Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
Internet Hobbies has the G10N on sale for about $33. All four models are in stock. I got the green one from them about 2 months ago.
Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
hmm....they charged me almost as much in shipping as they did for the plane, so i think they're making up for the low price by padding the shipping charges. Other places charge me $8 shipping for this.

Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
Sorry about the postage cost. When I ordered from Internet hobbies, the shipping cost was $8.95 to Portland Oregon. The total cost for the G10N was $41.94
Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
hm...i guess they are only shipping to Canada via Priority, which is a lot more expensive than First Class, which other vendors are using.
i wonder which is the 'most accurate' scheme to get. Silver version and version with tail slash strike me as late war schemes, which isn't realistic as Japan wouldn't have mounted a mission like that and the brown/green is too early, before the bomber could have realistically been developed. So i guess the army scheme with tail numbers is best?

Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
Since it was never built, I am not sure any realistic scheme exists. I picked the first solid green one because it matches most of my other Japanese bombers. I don't have a silver or camo scheme Japanese bomber. Kind of strange to make 4 schemes for a plane that was never made.

Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
Brought it up earlier in the thread, but no other detailed close up pics like this (it's a long thread now so... good reminder
)
Saw it at Internet Hobbies a little while back. Wasn't sure about the place, so I ordered some F-Toy fighters from them. The prices and shipping was decent and everything arrived in a timely manner, so I'll be back for more. Bookmarked it because of the G-10N.
Have you put yours together yet Robzilla? I was wondering how big this thing is in relation to a four engine bomber?
I can't decide which color I would like yet either.

Dauntless,
I have no gotten to it yet, but I can see that the G10N size will dwarf all my other 144 bombers.

The model that comes closest in size to the G10N in my 1:144 collection is the Altaya Blohm and Voss 222, which is also a monster 6 engine plane.

Re: Beginnings of my 1:144 aircraft fleet
I've got the BV-222, indeed the G-10-N is a big one then.
The Ju-290 a big plane too, is about 3/4 that size.
