Admiral Toys CL-13 is the same as their F-86 tooling, which came out in 2005/2006. It was Admiral Toys first 1:18 aircraft tooling. It was the first F-86 tooling in 1:18. When it came out, the details were OK by the standards of the day, but really were on the same level of most other 1:18 planes at the time, particularly those offered by 21c. AT did incorporate some innovative features into the design like the leading-edge slats, the airbreaks, and the seatbelt in the cockpit, features which 21c later included on their own planes.
If you compare the Admiral Toys F-86/CL-13 to later models (especially the 21c F-86 tooling), yes, it is disappointing. However, it was the first F-86 in 1:18 and the first model produced by an upstart company. It was good for its time. Though you are right, the figure stinks in every way - and the CL-13 pilot figure was Admiral Toys "improved" F-86 pilot! AT never did get their figures right...
If a new 1:18 plane were to come out looking like this, say from Merit, we would have right to complain, but pointing out long-known issues with the AT F-86 tooling like they're something new and unheard of is sort of like discovering that the S1 21c P-51 tooling from 2000 is crappy
