The Amercom Dornier 17Z doesn't look too bad. I like the color scheme. I have the Altaya DO-17E. It does have windows on the front and back of the gondola.

That is a glaring omission on the F-Toys JU-88 bottom side gondola. :? The rest of the model looks like a tighter fit in the gaps and seams than the Altaya though.

I still have to put my F-Toys 88 together, might get the Altaya or Amercom also, but a JU-188 next in line to get first.

boy, i think you're giving Amercom way too much credit on the right vertical stablizer thing, there Epap. More likely they simplified corgi's design and just put it on straight and unwittingly made it correct it the process. Given that they got the colours wrong and the one swastika backwards, it doesn't seem to me they were doing a lot of intricate finely detailed research on this model. ;)

From what I see on the DO, I think I might just get the altaya 88, still going to get another trop F-Toys 88, and 2 camo ones though, just so I have them all

You may well be right, AF. I only mentioned it as a departure from the way that Amercom's factory handled some of its other copying exercises. For example, when doing a replica of FOV's Flying Tiger P-40B, the factory left off the Chinese Nationalist insignias and some of the markings while greatly increasing the size of the Flying Tiger emblem----just like the FOV model. Also, while copying the Easy Model Yak-3, which had its pitot head on the wrong wing, the Amercom factory faithfully reproduced this error. To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised to find that the Amercom models are actually the result of license deals with the original manufacturer which would explain why the errors on the original models get copied.

Little pricey though...

I have the aluminum and green blotched one and it's a very nice little model, AF. Like all of these items, you may have to use some glue to hold it together. Mine hase fallen apart several times, even when carefully handled. The only real negative is a seam gap on the underside where the two halves of the model meet. Here's a topside picture:Image

Not a bad looking Sally.

I guess this one is harder to get than the tan-beige one, which I would be happy to get also.

the mono colour one (off white, light grey or whatever) is pretty boring and not a good seller from what i've seen...with a bit of patience they can be had for $15 shipped. Most Sally's had some kind of green camo paintwork over top of their base colour, like Epap's and that's the one i'm going for, even though it costs a bit more...worth it in my view. I really like the green splotches over natural metal base....very Japanese army like. :)

There's also a solid green upper with light grey undersides version, i like that one a lot too. It's similar to the Atlas Sally paint scheme

I believe that the green and gray Sally is the later mark with a dorsal turret, AF.

I'd probably get either, but go for the green - silver if not too expensive. The grey-beige probably boring, but not many bombers that color anyways. Looks like a Pearl Harbor Val or Zero color.
Though if the other has a dorsal turret, decisions decisions.

BTW Epap, just got some Micro set today, it worked like a charm on my Invader and other models, thanks! 8)
Did a little micro perforating on some of the panel lines on the tail and it seeped right under the whole thing.

Instructions on the bottle say to put a little on the surface of the area just before decal transfer. That seemed to work better on the F-Toys Betty I just built.

I also bought some flat finish water soluble solution I'm going to try on an inconspicuous area to see if I get good results over the decals to get rid of the gloss.

Put together some more F-Toys bombers.

The secret /special desert version of the B-25. Aptly named " Pink Petunia" it is a salmon pink color.
Wanted the gear down and bombay doors open on this one, in case I get a Hobby Master B-24 to go with it.
The landing gear is the hardest part to get right on these.

Anyone know where I can find the early-war green F-Toys B-25?

I just got the trop Ju-88 Built, like always it was hard getting them small parts on there such as the "guns" the gear were kind of odd, took forever to find out how the tail wheel went on
Anyone else get the feeling you were just putting a piece of paper on the side when adding the decals?
They didn't want to stick!
Just ordered a Camo Ju-88 to go with it and going to order another Trop to complete the set, I know I've complained about this model, but after the work it's pretty nice, this one had to be the hardest F-Toys I've put together so far though, the F-100 is a close 2nd.

Don't have either. Didn't know F-Toys had a JU-87.

The only way I could get that early war green B-25 was to order the whole case of the twins, then there was only one in there. :?

Is that the Altaya B-17C?

F-toys had a Ju-87 in Wings Kit Vol 4. Cafereo had A Ju-87 in the Dive Bomber Series. Dragon Can.Do had arelease of 6 plus the Special. I have an extra set of the Can.Do if anyone is interested

...That's cool...the B-17C is on my list to get. Got some on watch, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. There's a few from English sellers out there.
Post pics when you get it.

Anybody have any opinions or pictures of the other 1:144 Flying Fortresses available? Dragon, Cafereo, or Corgi?
Like to get some of other ones like a E, or F model, but don't want to buy anything really horrendous.

Just put together my other F-Toys silver G version, but the OD and that one are the only two I have so far.

I'm getting it from storekeeper, just like all my altaya, so it will be a bit, I sure will get some pictures up after I receive it!
I did want an F-Toys G, but I can't find one at good price, till then ill settle with the C.

My IXO TB3 should be showing up any day now.

Yeah, bought the two F-Toys G's around Christmas time, never seen any come up since.

I hear the Dragon G is decent though, and I think they also have the F too?
