There is a thread in the reference rooms for tips, tricks, etc....but if you have custom military you want to show off no reason why you can't do it on this side of the forum. You should also set up a webshots or other free photo sharing page and link it to your profile as your 'website'
XD & bbi guys are getting ever easier to customize, the key ingredient being hot water. Hot water, elbow grease, and an exacto upon occassion are all you need for a ton of easy customs.

As for the SS, one member did an amazing set before they were even pre-order at SBP. If he still has pics I'm sure he could chime in. EDIT - found pics of the set...I will post a couple later if the rightful owner does not show up.

i have to admit here that i am no expert on these things and all the details, when my dad was alive he loved this stuff and knew all the little details, im just a guy that collects 4" toys, and as we all know the germans had great uniforms, and its kind of ashame that no one seems to want to release the more contraversial german figures, i just want some nice cool looking black clad officers.
i want the red arm band and the skull emblems and all.
it would be nice to actually have little rommels and hitlers and stuff too but doubt that will happen.

Ahhh so you want the Pre War Parade dress /Allgemere SS-Gestapo uniforms then?

Black uniforms with Black accessories unless Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler Body Guards who wore Black uniforms with White webbing.

As for Hitler figures,I`ve seen a fair few custom Hitlers so far.
Rommel wouldn`t be too difficult to do using a standard XD s1 German Officer really. Just add the Field Marshal rankings (uniform & cap) to the figure & a FM baton & your done.

Hope that at least helps mate :D

Swastika Arm bands are easy to make BTW,here`s one on my custom Red Skull.

Oh the Skull on the cap, just file down the cockade & wreath on it & then sculpt on a little skull or even just paint it on.

Hope these help mate.

Digger I love everytime I delve into your album mate, some fantastic stuff :D

As for the SS Black uniforms, are they RIT Dyed ? As that does indeed look perfect,no strokes,no differences in colour on any part. That`s solid & I do like them a lot :D

Been nice if they had gone for making the armband seperate instead of painting it on though, just to look even better IMO.

As they are though there AWESOME.

yes thats the kind of stuff i was looking for.
it really dissapointed me when that set got cancelled.
you have to respect the power of visuals and image, its part of the reason i still listen to new wave music.

Nice figures at the custom corner

Post by lsc1002 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 1:44 pm

Centone, Nice SS figures! I have a few questions for you. What did you create the armbands with and what kind of adhesive did you use. One last thing, where did you get the big red barn that is in the custom corner 3?
Thanks,
Lance

Centone ~ I have a question about the following picture in your Webshots Misc. folder.

http://community.webshots.com/photo/220 ... 9160guHJKT

What figure body was used to make the first soldier on the left with the camo pants? I don't think I have ever seen that torso sculpt before.
