Well that sucks the P-12 would be a great model to buy today, I'm thinking about something cheap to order to day, like maybe a couple F-Toys Skyraiders? But I don't know, I did see a cool 1/72 Easy Model SH-60 under $20, anyone have any suggestions???

I found this on eBay, Dragon 1/144 B-17, I may be wrong but to me it looks like a good price, if anyone is looking for a bomber?

Just ordered a F-Toys camo F-100D, and a F-Toys early war (candy cane tail) Kingfisher.

Aferguson, yeah it's ridiculous the prices of some of these tiny planes. Sad to think I paid less for a 1:18 plane at one time puts a different perspective on it.

Don't have any ME-110's yet, but eyeballing the Hobbymaster.

HP that Dragon B-17 doesn't look too bad although the Amercom looks like it's almost the same mold. The cockpit windows are panted on btw.

Really?
I'd expect a lot more from Dragon, I guess if I get a B-17 it'll be threw Poland...
By the way, do you know much about the cheap Corgi Landcaster, the one that has no gear on the flyingmule, if it's even worth getting?

Personally, I wouldn't even bother with the 1:144 Corgi Lanc. It's just too wonky in the close ups I've seen.
You can get an F-Toys for under $20 and free shipping from Hong Kong.
Might take a little longer to get here though.

I've already gotten a few planes from HK with no problems, though I don't have the Lancaster yet, I plan on getting one.
I've seen a close up pic (can't find it now) and the glass parts are clear unlike the factory pics which show them painted silver.

Perhaps someone could confirm this if they have one
.
The F-Toys was recommended in your other thread originally.

Has anyone ever tried the website Historic Aviation? Several years ago I picked up a 1/18 Hellcat for $30! They frequently have some pretty good sales. They have a lot of 1/144 and some are now on sale like this one.

I came across this auction if any one is interested. Doesn't seem too bad a price.

Considering they're $3 each, I think the price is a bit to high...

Wasn't the $4-$5 price for them when they were new and you could get them? I figured a little under $9 each is not too bad seeing that new 1/144 plastic models go for around $10 a piece.

I'm wrong, it must have been a sell or something, they're $5.99 (ones that are left) at BadCat..

$5.99 thats not bad, especially if you can repaint and add different markings.

Here it is. Something has to be done about the colors though. Was thinking that if you got a decal kit you could at least paint the tan parts an even darker green. Then you wouldn't have to mess with the canopy. I think it's a good construction for a 1:144.

Speaking about the JU-188, has anyone noticed the diecast Amercom version in 1:144th, shown below? It's a copy of the larger Corgi rendition, I believe:Image

THP, weren't you just complaining about the F Toys Ju 88 a couple of days ago, and said you were going to get the Altaya one instead?

I don't think so?
I don't know, because I like the F-Toys version, not to much the altaya one, I know dauntless said something about the CafeReo PBY canopy...

That was me on the F-Toys Ju-88. It has a large amount of canopy flash that is really visible from the outside. (sort of like the A-26 pictured) Not too big a deal, but I do like the looks of some of the IXO/ Altaya, and the Amercom, just have to decide which one, but the Mediterranean one sucks.

Ju-88 not high on my list right now though, so may just put together an F-Toys and call it a day.
