Sneak Peak - Vietnam M-113
I've seen many fine M-113 customs on here. So here is a sneak peek at my shot. It's nowhere near done and it'll be a part of a Vietnam Mech team (section of M-48A3's and M-113's).

You're off to a really good start there
I eventually want to do a similar custom with one of my 21c M113s. Forum member Pickelhaube once made the shields that go on the turret and MG.

"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Look nice! Shw us your mech section when finished!
Re: Sneak Peak - Vietnam M-113
I contacted PH about the gun shields. He's a busy man and I haven't been able to nail him down on it. I've decided to cast my own, which is a new and interesting process for me.
BTW, the decals are for the 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry, 4th Infantry Division (Mech. Panthers) in Vietnam. I was mech infantryman in 2-8 in Iraq during OIF I, so I dig the historical connection.
If anyone is interested in a set of these decals, I had them custom made and can get them ordered. Unfortunately, 2-8 removed the iconic large white stars on their tracks, but I'm pretty sure I can have those done up as well.
While I've seen several custom M-113's, I think I've only seen one custom M-48A3. I'm surprised since the Patton's are so common and can be purchased at 1/3 of the cost of an M-113 in todays market.
