Nice planes HP
For 1:200 scale planes I'm surprised they have clear windows.
Are the J Wings 1:144?
Suggestions, I don't know. I buy mostly WWII bombers in the smaller scales, though may branch out later. What you have there is tempting to own though.

Yes they are, and I just bought a F-Toys 1/144 F-105 and a 1/144 CafeReo PBY for about $25 for the pair on eBay!Dauntless wrote:Nice planes HP![]()

Just starting my collection of WWII bombers and flying boats.
Here's my first one

Still waiting on an IXO PBY from a US seller, and four others from SKP.

Well I got into 1/144 after 21ct came out with their line of them, I've had a few models after that such as revell B707, B-17, B-29, and more but those got lost in a tornado, just now getting back into collecting them, the PBY I just ordered is from a US seller so I should have it soon unlike the F-105 that I ordered from China.........
That's the PB2Y, correct?

Well the PBY was a complete loss, so I guess I'll get the Altaya PBY later, so enjoy these for now...

Why was the PBY a loss? I have been conidering the Cafe Reo PBY and I have the Altaya PBY on order from one of the dealers in Poland and it should be here later this monthThe_Helicopter_Pilot wrote:Well the PBY was a complete loss, so I guess I'll get the Altaya PBY later,

What is it with the PBY's?
The IXO/ Altaya Catalina 1941-1942 version I won got lost in the mail. Got my money back but I still don't have one now.
Might get a Cafereo, but the cockpit looks squished down, not right somehow. The Amercom one is ok, but want a very early war version.

The early war CafeReo (candy cane tail) PBY was what I ordered, it's what I'd rather, but I guess I can settle with the IXO version (black cats) I think?Dauntless wrote:What is it with the PBY's?

Right now Storekeeper has sent me several 1/144 & 1/72 altaya, so ill give him a break and have him send the PBY later, like I said before, I get them basicly free, so ill give him a break!
But I have on the way...
1/144
Ju-52
Vulcan
Valiant
1/72
Mi-28
F9F Panther
SE.5a
1/200
B-52
Hopefully nothing gets lost in the mail like you did!
Sorry to hear that happened, who was the seller?

Re: Our IXO/F-Toys/JWings/CafeReo Collection!
Was a US seller, but not their fault, got a full refund. Bought other stuff from them with no snags.
My four planes arrived from Poland safely.
I noticed they are "licensed IXO/ Altaya", but they are all made by Amercom.
Not much difference from what I can tell, except the propellers are attached instead of having to put them on now. A couple were slightly bent but were easily bent back.
What is it with the gooey oil on these planes?

Oh I see, and yeah when your ordering over seas there can be some damage, my C-17 and E-3 gear were detached when they arrived, but it was an easy fix, and I've noticed the oil on the radar's of my E-3, and A-50, it's just over lubricant for it, there's no decals so you can just use some soapy water to wash the extra lubricant off.Dauntless wrote:Was a US seller, but not their fault, got a full refund. Ok guys, just got my 1/72 altaya Mi-28A Havoc & Ju-52/3M but as you can see I'm a bit disapointed in my Mi-28 as its missing a main rotor, but the Ju-52 is PERFECT, and the detail on it is absolutely AMAZING check it out!

The gun does rotate on this though, you don't see that on many 1/72 diecast.

Now just check out the detail on this Ju-52, I really do highly recommend this bird to those of you who collect 1/144

The Ju-52 is my new favorite.
