Forces of Valor new 1:32 troop sets????

Post by jrs » Tue Nov 22, 2005 4:32 pm

Ok so here is the deal, its all speculation. Sorry nothing new here. Question is this. If FOV is going to be releasing new figure sets what do you think we will see in 1:32 WWII or Modern? We all know they have Knights, Vikings and Pirates, Romans comming in 1:32. Now this is great that they are doing these four sets. However I will be pissed if Unimax does not offer us at least five sets of figures for the money maker lines. After all Unimax has been built on the WWII and Modern conflicts. While a set of Pirates may be cool, I would much rather have a set of Panzer Greniders, Russian Infantry, US infantry and of course both Allied and Axis Airborne figures, as well as sets for mounted use.

Unimax could easily have done this and I would hope they will because if they have time to making Vikings and Pirates they better of found some time for the others! IMHO!

So what do yuo think will see? I bet we get some copies of the 1:72 figures in 1:32? Maybe at Toy Fair? 7Th inf, German Greniders, British airborne. Maybe something else? What do you guys think?

The picture of the 8.8 with its crew are up at Mich toy, as well as the 105mm and its crew. Plus teh Sherman with its tank riders. Great looking stuff. Also one person was wondering how the sdkfz 7/1 was going to tow the 8.8? It looks like the FOV version is sans the carriage?

I would really like to see some new poses. The last two WW2 figure sets only gave us two new poses each and the two new poses had brighter uniforms and they didn't bother to make the other three the same color tone. We also need more german infantry, Unimax is offering lots of different poses for them but they all have different uniforms. I think a german machine gun crew, an american mortar team, and a anti tank team for either side would be cool. I myself can't wait for the FOV 88 flak because It looks like they have alot of figures with that and they are more accurate then the 21st Century ones.
Whenever i see something screech across the room and latch onto a guy's neck while he screams trying to get it off, i have to laugh because ..what is that thing.

I recently bought the Normandy Hanamog. If FOV had the same sculptor do their figure sets we would all be very very happy. I expect to see something? After all its the modern and wwII stuff that is their bread and butter. Like I said if they have time to do Pirates I sure as hell better see some Panzer Grenadiers!
