Best small scale figures?

I collect 1:18 figures, but I am considering getting into smaller scale items mainly due to cost. So I have a couple of questions.

1. Which scale should I go with for figures and armor, 1:32 or 1:35?

2. Which company makes the best WW II figures and in which scale?

3. Which company makes the best WW II armor and in which scale?

4. Which scale is it easier to find diorama pieces for, 1:32 or 1:35?

5. Does any company make figures with any articulation?

By far, the best WW2 plastic non painted figures are Conte.
They work perfect with 21st & FOV vehicles.
They are on the large side of 1-32 so they will not fit with 1-35 scale figures which come with the above vehicles.
However what I did was paint the crews of the vehicles a solid color to match Contes, and when the figures are in the vehicles you really can,t tell the difference in scale.
The only other line of WW2 figures I would recommend are the 1-35 Airfix reissues.

King and Country have really good 1/32 scale metal figures, highly detailed but very expensive. And they are sold in sets. But you can broken up sets on ebay for about $23.00 a figure. But the qaulity is very nice. Britains come in as 2nd best in price and detail.

Contes are a bigger 1:32 as stated. K&C are actually 60mm and too big for any of the 1:32 stuff.

You bring up 1:35 vs 1:32? If you are simply looking to collect pre painted pre built there is only one choice. 1:32. Look for the thread about or titled ONWTC diorama. Here you can get a good idea of what 1:32 is out there. So many companies in 1:32. Britians, Conte, ONWTC all have some excellent figures, "articulation" ten fold on anything 21st ever thought of producing. You also have Frontline and FOV and 21st. Sheck michigan toy soldier company, they list by scale and manufacture. A full list of all manufactures in all scales.
1:35 you can buy the kitts and there are a million of em at any hobby shop. Too many to list but you should like building and assembly and painting to go this route!

As said if you want pre-painted, pre-built stuff, go with 1/32. You also noted price as a concern - then definitely go with 1/32. If I were to give one reason, it would be that 21st & FOV 1/32 are getting better, more diverse, and coming out in waves. The scale is a real collector's dream right now.
There is a ton of dio stuff in both scales, but cheaper in 1/32, and the 1/35 dio stuff is serviceable with your larger 1/32 figs/vehicles.

I must say though that the CanDo 1/35 Pocket Army figs by Dragon are great for the $. Put them in the background or foreground with your 32x and they'll be fine.
