Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Prototype.
I have gone so far on this project it seems kind of silly not to go into production.
All right here we go the prototype is done. All the hatches open and the tube moves up and down.
I also have altered the barrel for the Panther F so that you can have your choice with or with out the muzzle brake.
I cut down the lift hooks and finished the detail on the rear of the turret.
So now we are good to go.
I will start prices as stated before
I AM ACCEPTING ORDERS NOW !!
Panther F turret ------------------------------------$65
Panther II turret------------------------------------$70
Panther steel wheels ( resin ) with steel axles ----$32
Panther skirts----------------------------------------$15
Shipping--------------------------------------------- $6-$10 ?

Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Prototype Done Accepting Orders N
Offer it with or without the muzzle brake for that's the way the 2 prototypes were built and they didn't have the steel rimmed wheels, but they do look good.

I plan to
Thanks for the order Normandy !!
I forgot to mention the way I made the copula, it has little square teeth that fit into the vision block frames. The part is the white tube inside of the copula and if you look close you can see the white inside the vision block. That way you can try to paint them like glass and the " teeth " will fit inside and will be tons easier to paint.

Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Prototype Done Accepting Orders N
It looks really good.I wasn't much interested in this project at first, but i have to admit it looks pretty good. The steel wheels, turret and gun makes it look like a totally different tank now.

Any balance can go towards the next project.

Hey Guys,
Toooooo many interruptions to speak of but the moulds are almost done.
I am not sure when I will have them done with everything going on right now but every chance I get I am working on them.

I am pretty certain there were no completed Panther Fs, only incomplete hulls w/ regular G turrets, unaccompanied turrets at the assembly line, incomplete hulls on the factory floor, but never a compete beast. The picture above is of the turret placed on a regular Panther hull by the Brits postwar, not an actual production tank; any other "completed" ausf. Fs (German test prototypes, there were 2) that existed were actually the schmallturm with on a ausf. G hull. The actual production Panther F was to have the steel wheels, as that was the direction all German tanks were taking that late in the war to save rubber, but as was true for the late production Gs, they were sometimes equipped with older style road wheels if they happened to be available (Germans weren't picky at that point).Panther F wrote:Offer it with or without the muzzle brake for that's the way the 2 prototypes were built and they didn't have the steel rimmed wheels, but they do look good.

Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Production Started !!!
Almost all of the orders are filled but there is a minor problem.
I forgot to make moulds for the exhaust stacks .
So this could delay things.
If you guys want I can pack and ship what I have and mail the exhaust stacks and antenna in a envelope.
Let me know what you guys want to do.
But , I am working on them now and hopefully with fingers crossed I can get'em out on Friday.

Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Production Started !!!
Just dropping by to say I like what I see you've have created here Matt and what a great price too!
Now offer American SP guns or some prototypes like the MBT 70 and I'll jump onboard with some orders on those for sure!
Thanks for being the 1/18th stop-gap!

Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Production Started !!!
Well I got back from my summer vacations and see that the Panther transkit is already in production.....now this is something that for sure I will order from Pickelh, is truly an amazing model....as is everything he does.
Normandy, that is indeed a late last ditch effort to the battle front look great looking model. I did one quite similar but with the regular 21st Panther G for a collector in UK. For the new Panther tank assembly of the transkit /cammo/red primer/weathering will be around $425 including shipping...this will be what I would charge, if by any chance this is in violation of forum rules, please remove..
