Avenger added to Musuem Display

Post by Axis Nightmare » Sun Jun 17, 2012 1:14 pm

We finally hung our 1/18 Avenger for display just before our Anniversary Gala (See pics in Off Topic). Before the new hanger was finished, the spot where the Avenger now hangs was occupied by the B-25 "Axis Nightmare" left wingtip.

Here's our 1:1 outside on the reamp with the 1940 Packard :) Note the red buckets hanging below the exhaust to catch dripping oil. She's already "marked her territory" below the engine in a matter of minutes after being towed out. Those R-2600 engines on this and the B-25 are serious oil drippers. :!: If they're not leaking oil then they're out of oil.

That Avenger looks great hanging like that, out in the open, with no ceiling close by.

Of course, the 1:1 version looks better.
