We finally hung our 1/18 Avenger for display just before our Anniversary Gala (See pics in Off Topic). Before the new hanger was finished, the spot where the Avenger now hangs was occupied by the B-25 "Axis Nightmare" left wingtip.

What makes the P-51 Mustang so special?

Here's our 1:1 outside on the reamp with the 1940 Packard

Note the red buckets hanging below the exhaust to catch dripping oil. She's already "marked her territory" below the engine in a matter of minutes after being towed out.

Those R-2600 engines on this and the B-25 are serious oil drippers.

If they're not leaking oil then they're out of oil.

That Avenger looks great hanging like that, out in the open, with no ceiling close by.
Of course, the 1:1 version looks better.
