Wm Britains and Frontline Vehicles

Post by ketelone » Sat Apr 21, 2012 2:01 pm

I went to a military show today and picked up 3 Britains' vehicles: a Panzer IV, a Sherman and a Greyhound. I picked them up for a lot less than the new FOV vehicles. Recently I have been purchasing Frontline vehicles also when available and of course for the right price. When you consider FOV is really the only game left in town for 1/32 vehicles and they are costing @ $60 per vehicle, why not purchase the retired Britains and Frontline for significantly less and for their vehicles that FOV or 21st never made: Greyhound, T-34s with the smaller barrel, Cromwell, Churchhill, etc.
It's a way to increase your inventory of armor and vehicles and for a lot less. I will of course continue to buy FOV but it's nice to have more offerings for 1/32 scale when they are so limited.

........ don't care much for WB's due to their total lack of detail except for both their Retired Kettenkrad versions. Same goes for FL except for their Artillery pieces which are exceptional. I do have a few Rare Figarti 1/32 pieces I'm quite proud of though which includes that Japanese med. Type 1 & that British Stuart "Honey" tank.

I forgot about Figarti's 1/32. I also have the British Stuart. It is a nice piece. Once again I appreciate the overall variety arguably available from these less mentioned on this site manufacturers of 1/32.

The vintage Britains Daimler Dingo scout car is a pretty good piece. They can be found pretty regularly on ebay for fairly cheap, and a quick repaint makes a nice 1/32 Brit vehicle.
