Still looks very cool. I couldn't do that.Jnewboy wrote:aferguson wrote:to do an sdkfz 7 you can't use the Indy Jones truck....it's far too small. I would definitely be into an sdkfz 7 for sure, but as PH says, it would be a full build, unless he makes a half baked underscale one with hanomags and indy trucks..
I was alittle high when I made this back in the day but hey...![]()

I know these aren't one of the options but just a bit of variety to think about. For a full build how about a Cromwell, Valentine or Comet? Possibly the Churchill but that thing was big. Or on the small side ,the Bren Carrier?
Re: What WW 2 Armor Series Should Be Next ? Or E-10 full Bui
hey Grognard, that paper E10 is pretty cool. At first glance i thought it was a plastic model. Did you make it from a kit or just a 3 view? Nice work for not having much to work with. Paper models are pretty handy for armour projects, especially scratch building as you can use them as templates.
the E10 is a cool tank......too bad it never saw the light of day.

The 11's were used to pull the Nebels and the haul the rockets.aferguson wrote:did 251's mount nebelwerfers? Not that i can recall hearing.
Are you thinking of the Maultier which mounted a 10 barrel version of the nebelwerfer?
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Waf ... dKfz11.htm
Though now that you mention putting a nebel on an 11.. there was this thing, perhaps?

Re: What WW 2 Armor Series Should Be Next ? Or E-10 full Bui
hm....a nicely done model but a fabrication of imagination. Not sure in the spring of 45 they'd take or have the time to (somehow) mount a nebel 42 onto a 2 cm flak mounting and then mount that onto a sdkfz 11. Why not just tow the nebel behind the 11? Or take the wheels off and just mount the carriage onto the 11?

Actualy, they had a version with mounted nebelwerfer. But not a sdkfz 11.

The vehicle is an Opel Maultier with armored cab. Not realy gorgeous.

I had no idea that this vehicle even existed
This I think that I could do. But there will be lots of work. I guess I could do the cab and bed and you guys can graft it on your own 251. Let us see how the 251 series goes.

I have ran a post on English armor. Not a lot of interest.
The Mauttelier Nebel does look cool. I wish I had my magic wand working . But alas another full build.
it looks like the Panzer IV Series is the heads up winner.
After the long list of projects in front of it. The Panzer IV Series will be next in line.

I wouldn't be very interested in English armor, unless there were some sweet custom brits out there.pickelhaube wrote:I had no idea that this vehicle even existed![]()

you didn't know about the sdkfz 11, PH? It's not a terribly intersting vehicle, that plus the fact it sorta looks like a sdkfz 7 is probably why you've never heard of it. I've toyed with the idea of custominzing one ever since the Indy truck came out but cant get excited enough about it to go through the bullshit.

I went with the Panzer IV. As stated there are plenty choices for customs. I want a Stug IV.
A Panther II would be a cool project too. The only problem with any 1:18 armor custom is the availability of "doner"
tanks.
E-10 looks very cool as does the Hetzer, you may have to make both.
I'll take one of each.
As far as the poll......looks like the Panzer IV is winning.

I REALLY want a Stug IV, you should make it look similar to the one in band of brothers. I would definitely want one with those side shield things.

Another blast from the past .
I have not given up on the E-10.
Tiger wheels, modified panther ideler and main drive fallowed up with Panzer IV tracks and you have a new AFV albeit a Paper Panzer .
I was looking for something and I found a 3-D printing that Grunt 1 did for me years ago .
The parts were for a Hetzer main wheel and front drive.
They have HEAVY stryations but I think that I can work with them .
My year of WW1 my have to get bumped for some other cool things on the horizon.

A Hetzer would be cool, I'd go for that!
Pickel did Grunt ever get back to you regarding the Puma? I like working in plastic or resin, this 3D printed material needs a lot of surface preparation before painting.
A Stug IV would be welcomed

See I would still love to see a Cromwell in 1/18. There are just so few British pieces and along with my Fireflies and custom brits, one of them would look great.
