1/18 RC ju88

Post by flyboy_fx » Tue Jan 31, 2012 10:29 am

I remember there was talk about a close to 1/18 JU88. THe company was flying styro kits, right? Where can I buy from them? I heard they are in over seas somewhere, do they have a store in the US? I would love to buy the JU88 or BF110 and make it RC, I just don't know where to find them. Thanks for the help.

they're in the czech repbulic. It's 1/15.4 scale. Pretty big but it looks great if you don't mind its oversize.

Somebody can give you a link or you can search for it online, should be easy to find.

Here is a thread on RCGroups that was started by the new owner or rep of Flying Styro. I think you can order right from their site. There is a lot of good information in this thread and it comes straight from the owner or rep of the company.

yes you can buy direct and they now take paypal, which is a big plus as before you had to send a money order.

Anyone order from them yet? I bet shipping is a --- load! THey will ship for free if you order three though. But if you've ordered from them, what's the shipping time, are the reputable, ect...? I might pick up that 110 and 88. They look like they're great fliers!

yes they're very reputable. Shipping is about $40 for one i think......i checked it out once it wasnt all that bad. It's the only place you can get them so you're options are limited anyway.

You should get the B-25 if anything. It's the closest to 1/18 at 1/17.1. THey have both glass nose and gun nose variants available too. The 110 is very nice but is about 1/13 scale ish.

Yes, me and two other board members went in on the three for free shipping deal. They were a bit slow processing the order and shipping, but everything did finally arrive in good shape.

Their store is:

There is also some add'l info on this site:

Their models definitely require work to assemble and glue together, but are quite nice.

Actually, the scale is closer to 1/15 (1/15.6 length, 1/14.4 width). I actually am building their Mossie right now (will hopefully finish before I die ; ).

It is big (noticeably wider than my 1/18 P-38), but I don't mind in this case.
