I've heard that some of the Marauder guns are oversized for 1:18. Can someone please clarify this? I would also like a complete list of all WW2 Marauder weapons if possible.
Thanks,
AJ

I don't think any of them are oversized. It seems that a few (specifically old releases) are kind of undersized, though.
Plastic figures aren't flexible like real people, so many of the larger assault rifles don't fit in the hands/arms of action figures, just like they would in real life. People may misinterpret this as the guns themselves being oversized, when in reality, it's just that the figure can't hold the gun properly because of it's hands/arms.
I see this problem with the SCAR-H, in particular.

Anyhow...Marauder weapons are very well-scaled for the most part. There's not a huge selection of WW2, but I like a lot the ones there are: .45 pistol, luger, mauser, PPK, MG-34 (w/no ammo belt or drum though), stick grenade, and Tommy gun (I think the "gangster" version was used in small numbers in WWII? I could be wrong).

He was suggesting that the OP look up a list of Maurader weapons on his own, as it's available on their website.

yes the 'gangster' version, ie drum fed thompson, was used in wwii, especially in the early stages. Later it was replaced with the stick type clip.
What's his face uses a drumfed Thompson in the opening scene of Windtalkers.

Yeah, and weren't the drumfed versions only used in the Pacific, and by the Brits in Africa?

IIRC most Commonwealth Forces and US Marines used the drum magazine early in the war.
It was prone to jamming and phased out for the stick mags. The fore-grip was also removed later in the war.

Wave 6 is going to come out with a ammo drum for the MG34 and also has an MP40 in it.

In my experience he is very quick with shipping orders. I am guessing that at this time of year it would be a bit slower due to the Holidays but i must have ordered from him 30 or so times and had no problems atall

Any update on Series 6? John's last post stated that they were due for October 2011. Since then, no news. Anyone know what the new due date is?
On the drum fed thompson: Some soldier used the M1928 w/drum mags as opposed to the M1 and M1A1 w/ stick mags. However, the U.S. Army never distributed drum magazines and so the the use of drum mags declined.
AJ, my orders take about 10 days to arrive. Keep in mind that I am in Canada, so it would likely be less than a week if your in the U.S.

He posted on his facebook page at the end of Sept.: "We have encountered MAJOR issues with the upcoming Marauder Series #6.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to meet the October 31 release date. At this time we do not want to provide a definate avail date. We want to prevent further disappointment to all of you by having to "revise" or "change" another updated release date."
Also, thanks everybody for the Thompson info! I also read that there were both 20-rd. and 30-rd. mags made for it - would the 21C/BBI/Dragon varieties generally represent the 20- or 30- ?

Thanks parrish, but I was asking for any new updates.
The 20 round mags were given to paratroopers, and the 30 to regular infantry. Some of the Dragon sets include the 20 round mag, but most sets from 21c/BBI/Dragon depict the 30 round mag.
