Hello - so sorry to hear of your loss. Let us know how we can help.
This site: http://www.sshqdb.com/18/ should help with identifying items that are 1:18 scale.
It sounds like you have this:
http://www.sshqdb.com/18/displayimage.p ... =112&pos=0
That is the 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher. It is a really nice piece.

Sorry to hear of your loss, many good members on this board will help you out as much as we can.
It might not be my business, but if that's your Huey recently posted on ebay, the price is on the HIGH end - such as so high, it probably won't sell at that price. A Huey of that type in PERFECT condition is probably more in the $200 range. But at this time of year maybe you'll find someone with Christmas money. Just my opinion.

chere0805,
I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. May God grant you peace and strength.
Where you wanting to sell your husband's collection? What part of the country are you in?
If so, there are 2 ways to do that:
1- Sell the whole collection at once and have that person come pick up the items
or
2-Sell each piece on Ebay or Craig's list.
The first way would be the easiest, but you would probably receive less money.
The second way would yield more money, but you would require more time and effort by you.
The database the other members of the board provided you will help you identify the correct names to post on either Craig's list or Ebay.
I use Ebay to see what the item I have has sold for in the last 30 days to see what the item is selling for. Of course with Ebay, the market is very fickle and some things can sell high or low. If you need more infomation on how to do that, let me know.
If you need more help or have more questions, please post here and we can help you.

Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
How do I post the pictures I have of his collection? Also I have some smaller planes and tanks, I have no idea what scale they would be considered.
I definitely want to sell the collection.
I am in North Carolina!
I have a Star Wars collection to sell as well and a toy soldier collection as well...so in some ways time is of the essence however I would like to get as much from it as possible.

Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
I can't help with posting photos, but there are many here who should be able to tell you. Once you have the photos available, among the board we can probably ID everything you have from military collectibles to Star Wars. As for selling for the most money AND as quickly as possible - those are generally opposite and conflicting goals. It is possible to sell quickly at current (or slightly lower) prices, but getting the highest usually requires time and luck finding the right buyer.

This is the "How to post a picture on this website manual"
This should show you step by step on how to do it.
Try just one picture first and then you can upload more.

Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
I would market the M-48 as the Series 1 (S1) version, which it is. That version has better weathering and paint work than the current release and is harder to find.
Obviously the Kubelwagen is worth the most of the smaller vehicles. The Willys Jeep and the Mutt with the machine gun can be worth a bit as well, probably more than the $40 range. The Mutt with TOW launcher is more common, particularly as the vehicle was re-released at Wal Mart several years ago.
You can do an ebay search for these items to get an idea of what the going rates are, though sometimes sellers will hike the price for a buy-it-now listing.

Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
You mentioned previously you needed to sell these as quickly as possible. If going the ebay route, I would suggest you search all current listings for similar items, as well as checking recent ended auctions for the final sales prices, then price yours accordingly. It's possible to sell quickly at a fair price, but you really need to know current prices or your item could sit with no bids and at the end of the auction you'd have wasted that time with nothing to show for it.
Also remember e-bay is charging fees on shipping now, so the final value fee isn't all you have to calculate. They've found another way to nickle-and-dime the seller.

Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
The figure is from the original Vietnam line 21st Century created in 2000-2001 and are harder to find. The figure is a M79 Grenadier with a M79 grenade launcher in his hands. He is missing his helmet. You may want to see if you can find that. If you have others like this, you may want to combine them into one lot for ebay.chere0805 wrote:

The item behind him is part of the TOW missle launcher jeep in the other picture.
Anyone else have a guess on the planes?
What are they made of? Rubbery plastic or harder material?

Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
They are harder plastic...not rubbery at all.
Re: 21st Century Huey with grenade launcher
The planes are battle squad:

They can get you a pretty good price on ebay, these are not really rare but you can probably expect 20 bucks for them.
