DAK Pioneerpanzerwagen Division

Post by Karl Dak » Sun Nov 27, 2011 8:55 am

Okay, before the historically accurate hijack this topic, let me begin by saying that I know the tiger camo stripes of the Ultimate Soldier Pioneerpanzerwagen were most likely NOT used in N. Africa. However, DAK paint schemes are rather limited among the Ultimate Soldier collection, but those vehicles possessing lighter tan paint schemes are quick to be enlisted in my personal DAK collection.

Among the collection is the Pionneerpanzerwagen, a vehicle that I must admit may or may not have even been used in N. Africa. I wasn't crazy about the bridges at first, but the front gun more than makes up for them. In searching this forum for topics related to the Pioneer, I didn't find many, so thought I would share my latest, the DAK Pioneerpanzerwagen Brigade:

And the original image for comparison:

Comments welcome.

That looks cool. You might want to light the subject to match the background. 8)

Those 251s where basically only used on the estern front. Not too many other places. ;) Great render though!

I use Photoshop Elements, the less expensive version of Adobe Photoshop. I have learned some tricks over the years of photo-editing, but I'm sure there are many who far surpass my ability.

Here's an additional shot after experimenting with a few different backdrops. I like the single palm in this picture and I added the tan tower from PTE.
