That's even better. I travel to the NYC area on business quite a bit. Thanks for the soup offer Mike, but I must pass, staying true to my cause. I'd rather you (BBI) offer a 1/18 scale A-10 than food. :D

If it will get me an A-10 I'll eat it (the soup) out of an old shoe.

Post by jmd250 » Mon Oct 24, 2005 8:27 pm

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this baby or not. It looks like it is from Elite Forces more Toylike line. Check it out though.

Yes. This item has been discussed before. It is from BBI's Target exclusive toyline. Way underscale for a 1/18 scale A-10 Warthog. However seeing the detail that was put into it as a $20 toy, it breathes great hope into the possiblity that we may see a true 1/18 scale A-10 from BBI in the future. WE JUST NEED A TRUE 1/18 scale A-10 Warthog!!!!!

I do have to say guys, after seeing the A-10 at all three airshows I've been to in the past two weeks (see thread I will be posting soon in the reference), I do have to say it'll make a sweet 1:18 scale aircraft.

I couldn't agree more. :D :D :D :D

It is such an awesome aircraft...rugged....simple....extremely lethal. It's hard to understand the awe inspiring ability of the A-10 until you've seen it in person and watched it perform. Then you see why it's so d%$# cool!!!! A must have for a 1/18 scale Modern Jet line!!!!

:D

Well we should be proud of ourselves Birddog we've been keeping this thread alive for over two months now. I feel pretty confident that in tme we will see an A-10 due in part to our dilegence.

Well, it worked for the Zero, but we campaigned for that plane for years before BBI took the initative :)

Hopefully it won't take that long. There's been a steady request for the A-10 now for a while too, granted not as big as the Zero was, but it's been there. Now we know that they do hear us and are starting to listen to us (to an extent). I think the chances now are better than ever for the A-10. We just have to keep asking and showing our interests.... :D

that pics been mentioned in the BBI Hellcat thread. It's either a low quality mock up or maybe something quickly slapped together by Mike to get everybody's goat. :D

Hoping it's a crude mock up to show what they plan to release...i think it may be a GWS foam flyer that's being used as a mock up. The foam flyer is 1/18 scale so it would be a logical choice. The wingspan doesn't look big enough but that could just be the picture..

I am really begining to think that the A-10 was put there as a joke myself. If your going to display an airplane why put up someone elses inferior product? It may be a decoy for something else would be my guess. I also think that the Hellcat maybe released someday, remember its not past 21st to show half built prototypes before they release them as well.

Well if Mike put it up there to "get everybody's goat", it's plain wrong. Adds insult to injury for those of us who are eagerly waiting to see one made..... :(

I don't think Mike would do that purposely, my guess its just the guys who put the display together to add some flavor to it. Actually I have doubts Mike gets that involved in the display process.
