S2 are in brown-tan uniforms. S1 look pretty green, so maybe you found S2 figures?

Walmart finally got a box of the BoB repaints. Still need a couple more of the tanker variants.

Merrils Mauraders

Post by markecho » Thu Oct 20, 2005 6:06 pm

For those who are interested.. spotted 4 boxes of Merrils Mauraders (is that what they are called) at the HB TRU. Sorry I didn't get a price tag but for SoCal locals who are interested they are there as of this evening (10-20-05).

Interesting to see 21st C back at TRU....just keep those mad moms in their mini vans and their petitions away!

now does this post belong here or in that other thread that was specific to M.M. :?

what were the sahara figures like? Was the jeep there too?

That's an AMAZING price for the MM set. About half what i thought it would be. Outstanding.

Of course we don't get them up here in Canada so i can only enjoy them vicariously but maybe this means i'll be able to get a set cheap on Ebay..

Aferg, no jeep or M48...

I haven't had the chance to look over the figs. My wife called me from WM and let me know she had found them. Once I get home tomorrow, I'll let you know what they look like.

Saw the Marauders as well today. Very hard to leave it there for $40.

I spotted the Merrils Mauraders set at the TRU in Monrovia Ca. (just off the 210 near Pasadena) while heading back to central Ca. after taking my younger brother down to school at Cal Poly Pamona. It looked pretty nice, but I have enough Dodge Trucks and Command cars. Its cool to finally see some 21c products back on the shelves at TRU again.

I really wasn’t planning on picking this set up as I too have the command cars and two trucks but for $40. If I see it will probably be coming home with me.

Merrils Marauders at Woodland hills TRU in Tulsa..

I thought TRU wasn't going to carry 21st Century stuff anymore after the big fiasco a few years ago????? :?

Well, this exclusive might pave the way for XD's return. So if anyone needs another reason to buy it, good sales will surely help make that happen

BTW for anyone who needs it, the SKN # is 279274

Picked up my fifth and final Green(Gray) German Tanker at the WM in Port Huron MI on Sunday.

Bought a BOB Patton at the Painted Post NY store today.

This is getting out of hand! With all of the new or repaint items out lately,
I feel deprived if I don't buy at least something each week.

Seen the first of the BotB figs in Pittsburgh, but only a closed coat German (s1) and Jeep Driver. Nothing special, but I did nab the German...

Some old stuff did surface though at another WM... Night Fighter (I'm assuming here), and what looks like a desert camo Messerschmitt. Also RC Tanks. I'm surprised to see older stuff we never really saw actually show up now... Not like any of the stuff out there already sold to make way for it, but it's here.

Can't wait to nab the Marrauders as I have never seen a 1.5 ton Dodge or a basic green Command Car (justthe Patton one at TRU). I'll gladly buy the Marrauder's set. May need two just for the extra troops and a truck since those will all be new to me... winterize a command car perhaps for my BOTB and I'll be set.

And Sahara too? *sigh* :) Good sigh, but a sigh nonetheless... Lots to buy.

Collectors in San Antonio are "gobbling up" the BoB Germans but the American figures are not selling. I expect that is because the BBI paratroops are flying off the shelves at Toys Used To Be Us.

Wound up finding more BoB figures in Fresno, Ca. and stocked up on German soldiers and tankers. I've now got enough of the green tankers (5) to give my grey Tiger tank a proper looking crew! No Sahara figures, though.

On another note, the TRU on west Shaw in Fresno has the Merrils Mauraders sets - but oddly enough no new BBI figures.

Man, that WM in Auburn NY always has the best selection! Fuddmiester, I hope you check it out from time to time, since it's right in your back yard (1.5 hour drive for me)!

Been a couple of weeks since I've been there, and today they had re-stocked the BOB figures plus they had the 2 Sahara figures. I hemmed and hawed about buying them, but ultimately picked up 1 of each with the thought that with their alternate heads in place they have some interesting possibilities.

Don't know if anybody else is seeing this, but I bought my second S2 Digger MacHugh and they got rid of the Japanese flag he was holding. I looked trough all of the ones they had and none of them had it. I looked at the picture on the back of the card and it is removed from the picture too. I wonder if somebody got offended and they had to drop it. Oh well, glad the first one I got still had it.

The S2 McHugh figures I saw in my AO, which appeared at two different stores, all had the flag hand. But the idea of them dropping it for being sort of offensive would make sense.

The TRU in S.E. Indianapolis IN.(Washington St.) had the Merrill's combo pack, Killer, Sherman, and Kiowa. No WW2 figs.
