Me too, I never would have bought a Mustang had it not been for this version.

I haven't heard anything or seen anything online.
The movie release would be a good time for AllGo to reissue their Red Tail P-51 and bring in some much need capital..........how else are we ever going to see the King Tiger?
I really would like to see the re-release of 21st's Tuskegee P-51, I was never able to get one.

yeah i'm not sure why Allgo isn't planning a reissue of their Tuskegee Mustang. You'd think it would be a natural. Maybe they are waiting to see if the movie does well and then will reissue it.

No offense to supporters of 21st/AG or Hasbro but I prefer Bbi to take up the merchandise mantle for this movie. They make quality products and have reliability.
AG is still in a very fragile wishy washy state but this project might be the strong kickstart they need for a turnaround in their fortunes
I'm wary that Hasbro might underscale all the fighters and bombers due to stocking shelfspace at TrU/WM/Target retailers, manufacturing costs and jittery economy.
If there were to be merchandise for this movie, wouldn't the company have been chosen by now and be quite far deep into the project? Its really quiet, no info or rumours... unless there really is no merchandise planned

Given who's making this movie, I'd have thought there would be a big merchandising push. But I agree that it seems we'd have heard something about it by now . . .
In my own personal opinion, every kid in America should get a toy celebrating these heroes for Christmas . . . but it looks like that might not happen . . .

If Allgo can't do anything with the 1:18 P-51, they at least have the 1:32 P-51D and or the P-51B/C mold they just re-released. Which would probably sell very well given we never got any Tuskeegee planes in the smaller scale.
Everybody's probably playing the wait and see approach though as was said, but no risk no reward.
Please no Hasbro GI Joe style toy like planes though.

I'm just picturing that awful GI Joe Sgt. Savage P-40 from 1994 re-released by Hasbro in Tuskeegee markings
I've still got one of these somewhere in the depths of my attic. I was elated to have gotten it back in the day...

That gatling gun's neat for emergency braking in midair and letting the zeros overshoot you, as demonstrated by Maverick in Topgun and Luke in the Endor Speeder Bike chase.

i suspect that toy makers do not perceive this movie as kid toy material, hence the lack of marketing for it. And that's probably a reasonable evaluation. While there will be some children interested in the movie, it's not a typical movie that kids are going to want to run out a buy toys of.
If it does well though, i wouldn't be surprised to see Allgo and/or BBI release Tuskegee mustangs. BBI the more likely perhaps as they seem to be somewhat more active these days, and jumped on the bin laden bandwagon with their blackhawk retool.
I'd personally prefer an Allgo release...i don't like the rivet peppered bbi P-51.

Whad'ya know a GI Joe P-40E!

Guess I missed that one. Looks like a lot of fun (fer kids) The gattling gun really work?
I want a P-40E in 1:18 (in 1:32 too) but uhuh.
Where's battlewagon when you need him?

Yeah, the GI Joe P-40 wasn't the greatest. The figure was cool, though, and somewhat accurate and the landing gear actually folded accurately, but thats where it ended... Would be great for Battlewagon
Allgo needs to release their P-51D in Tuskeegee markings again. I so regret not picking one up when they were at TRU a few years ago

......pow pow pow!!! 30mm cannon noise on yer tail...break left or yer gonna get pulverized.
I saw the "Bunnie" once at TRU, didn't buy it, went back to get one it was gone. I hesitated because I had so many P-51's without realizing that's the one I should have gotten from the get go.

And yet another plane (Me-262) All-Go already has molds to sell with a big media movie tie-in. Stores really like toys with a movie back-up. Mabye something last-minute can be work out with just one interested store.

it's unknown what AG still has the 1/18 molds to. All we no for sure is they have the P-51. Still i hope the 262 molds turn up someday. I'm still hoping for a Sturmvogel repaint.

Thanks for sharing the new poster sdcc73. Looks like a German airfield. See a Stuka in the background. Must be a scene where the only way they can get them is to catch the 262's trying to land.
This is good to put this aspect of the air war over Europe in. Lots of people don't even know there was a fully operational jet fighter in WWII way ahead of it's time. Hopefully peak interest in the subject. I don't think they included that in the original Tuskeegee Airmen did they?
I wonder if they will get the markings somewhat accurate for the German planes?
Both Gooding and Howard portrayed Tuskeegee Airmen before. Cuba in the original, and Terrence in Hart's War as a POW.

Pretty exciting looking artwork in the poster, but I don't believe the 262 carried any fuel or other flammable substances way up forward in the nose where a lot of the fire is coming from. Even too far forward for exploding ammo. Probably the artist did not do his homework !!
