My HM 1/48 Fw190F-8 repaint..

Post by hworth18 » Sun Oct 02, 2011 6:49 pm

Repainted the last F-8 I had with my favorite scheme. This is "Yellow 14" (W.Nr.584592) Thought to be with SG2 or SG10 with the only known photos of this plane taken when it was on top of a scrap heap waiting to be broken up.
This scheme represents a VERY late war F-8 with different component colors coming from this plane being assembled with parts from different factories. The upper surfaces also showed patches of repair repainted in primer only.
I still have some small bits to add and some minor detailing to do but for the most part it is complete.

Nice re-paint. The late war Luftwaffe planes tend to exhibit some unusual paint jobs as they used what ever was available. You captured the look nicely.

Thanks guys! I got this one detailed out and it looks really good in my display cabinet.
I love these late schemes and the Hobbymaster Fw190 is a great model to do customs with.
