I've seen Hobby Master RC tanks with both 27 MHz and 49 MHz.
Is one better than the other?

They're just different frequencies.
It doesn't matter which you have if you're only running one item, but if you plan to use two, then best to get one on each frequency or you'll get cross-channel interference with one controller trying to control both items.
Hope this helps.
Sam

Hobby Master has RC tanks?
I agree you would want tanks on different frequencies if you plan on running different tanks together. I once had fun running my 21c 1:18 Panzer IV's together at the same time all on the same frequency. It was sort of like a coreographed ballet

MAD SAM, TMANTHE GREAT:
Thanks for explaining the difference. Hobby Master released a bunch of RC 1/48 King Tigers and a JS-2 and 1/56 M1 Abrams years ago, but they were discontinued.
