The "D-Day Landing-Utah Beach" diorama is truly impressive.

And who said 1:18 was the end-all when it came to "Xtreme Detail"?
I've been finding myself slowly getting back into 1:6 (actually, I've been collecting it really before I was collecting 1:18) and there's nothing quite to compare it to outside of 1:1. It is prohibitively more expensive, takes up a ton of space, and outside of the figures, there is far less of a selection in terms of vehicles and accessories. But the general selection is growing, both in terms of what the major manufacturers are offering and what custom kits are being offered.
Nevertheless in terms of detail and realism, you can't beat 1:6 scale
