My Japanese Naval Attackers

Post by Epap » Sat Jun 11, 2011 10:48 am

I just received a Jill--- the latest release from the Hachette Japanese series of diecast models---and now have at least one of all of the major single engined JN attack planes of WWII. Here's a picture of this group of 1:100th scale replicas ( I have another Judy in storage ):Image

Why can't I have these in 1/32?

Always amazed at the variety of models you have, Ed.

Again, very impressive. 8)

Thanks, guys. I'm really in to unusual subjects these days and the Hachette series is supplying me with many of these. But now, I've got more coming from DeAgostini ( Rusian planes ) and LeoModels ( Italian birds ) as well as the new Altaya 1:72nd scale jet line and selected Amercom ( Polish ) items like a nice new 1:72nd scale Yak-3. I'm just putting the finishing redo touches on a 1:72nd scale BOB Fiat CR.42 from LeoModels. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

Hi Epap,

Your collections look wonderful. May I know what the model brand of those Japanese aircraft? Did you get them from ebay or any other place?

Thanks.

These are part of the Hachette Collections Japan series----a publisher subscription deal----which is primarily available through Japanese bookstores in the States. Unfortunately the series is in its final stages so it is probably too late to buy these models ---as I did---via this method. I understand that they are offered on the Japanese version of eBay, though I have not verified this. If you can navigate the Japanese language you might check this option. Another idea would be to recruit a Japanese friend to do it for you. The series is, in my opinion, well worth the effort. For example, the fighters are a complete set---various Zeros, Claudes, Georges, Jacks, Franks, Oscars, Tojos, Tonys, a Nate, Irving, Rufe, Ki-100, Nick---with a Kikka and Shinden coming. The same goes for the bombers and many float planes.

Here, for example, are three of Hachette's Japanese naval float planes:Image

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the info. I will see what I can do for it.
Hopefully, I could find them via the ebay.
