I like magic better, this way I dont feel so inferior.normandy wrote:![]()
There is no magic here........this is the work of an Artist!
At the risk of angering the gods of garage building by presuming to advise the maestro, I can see one reason to make the control surfaces separate parts. Super-builders might want the option of figuring out how to hinge them on their own. Depending on how the final wing assembly ends up being molded, I can see developing a hinge approach that could work, even if your original production doesn't accommodate a hinge.pickelhaube wrote:As far as the wings go i was just going to scribe the flaps and ailerons.
Or maybe cut them off so they can be posed.
Are separate posing control areas a must have or are you guys fine with scribing ?
I'm natural worrier. Seeing what a beautiful piece of work has been developing here, it just makes me cringe to think about making molds from it and trying to cast reproductions. I know I shouldn't be concerned, because it's PH, after all.normandy wrote:Matthew, WOW! These pics look incredible, I can't get over the detail you've put into this so far.![]()
We are watching history, the only 1:18 Horten kit being offered and we can see the step by step developments.
I've already decided I'm going to do dark grey and green splinter-ish on top and flat sky blue on the bottom.normandy wrote:Now the hard part........which camo scheme to pick? I'll have to go back and look at all the 229 pics at the Luft '46 site.

I'm basically a grumpy old man these days -- a pure treat like seeing these last pics is a rare pleasure!
Thank you, PH.
