What's next for blitz 72
It seems that blitz 72 had been silent since it's first four releases. Are they planning on releasing anything more, or are they done

I talked with my distributor a couple weeks back and it seems they are way behind schedule. the same problem that has always been the issue with this overseas company. im hoping we will see something this summer but for now he has no real news

Blitz72 information
The original Blitz72 models sold very well but were limited in their presentation and packing. The first four were in magazine packages which did not go well with some main or high street retailers.
The next release which is the Czech 38T Tank in German Army marking 1940 will arrive in the UK in the next 5 days or so and will be at sale point within 10 days. The model comes in more HM and Dragon type box but the retail will be £12.99 or about $18.00/19.00 so great value.
The next release is about to leave China and this will be the German Prime Mover FAMO 18 Tonne which is a large model even in 1/72 but the same retail price.
Newer releases will be sorted out very soon

The lack of presentation had been an issue in the UK (as you know Tiger).
When I get the 38t, I'll put a review up.
Good range, what it lacks in detail it makes up in price!

After the Czech 38T and the FAMO 18T, the next release will be the US DUKW, all though one of the most used vehicles in later half of WW2 this subject has been often over looked in 1/72 scale.

This could be the strength of this range.. It should release vehicles not presented by other ranges. We got the Panzer 38T in today and as promised, here are a few pictures.
Blitz 1:72 Panzer 38T On Ebay
I was warned about the packaging of "Blitz" models. However, I quite like it's simplicity, the model is set against a picture of a contemporary 38T. The "Blitz" logo is on the front and top, with safety information etc on the bottom. The model is in a plastic display box, the green cardboard is a "sleeve". A cool feature is that the picture of the 38T is seperate to the box, therefore can be removed and used as a picture, postcard or beer mat (take your pick!).
The model sits on a textured black plastic base, with white lettering on the front.
The model has a slight gloss finish to it and has zero weathering, but for the price (£15.00), can we complain? All the glass vision slits are painted blue, in all my years I have never seen blue glass... I personally would have painted them black (for shadow) or just ignored them. The white aerial recognition stripe on the back is an interesting (if not debatable) addition.
Quite a nice model and a solid release from Blitz.

Thanks to Wrights Collectables for a fair review of the Cz 38T
UK RRP is just £12.99
I used a little gun metal and black mixed and dry brushed over the main body work and a little rust/brown dry brushed on the tracks and it does the trick.
The Blitz72 range is not for the real serious collector as the retail price is half that of HM, Dragon and FOV (In the UK)
But it give you the option of a factory fresh vehicle and for the collector or gamer you can add your own weathering or even unit markings.
The next Blitz72 the German 18 T Famo Prime mover is on the water and should be with Tiger Hobbies in about October with the DUKW and 20mm Flak 38 in Nov/Dec.

We are in your neck of the woods and use a supplier in Newark (whom I think get's his stock from you?).
We have ordered some of the 18 T Famo's, but you can always send me one in advance and I can give people a sneek peek!
I don't agree that Blitz 1:72 is not for the serious collector. Someone can be as "serious" as they come, but not want to shell out £20+ for the endless repaints HM/Dragon churn out...
With a little paint work (weathering) this model would look stunning.

Yes the Newark supplier is one of our sub distributors.
Yes I agree with you about paint, but a new company called War Master use same ish tools and they are very nicely painted but again twice the cost. I think there one UK retailer selling them for over £20.00 per tank. So keep them cheap and sell lots of them.
