I picked up the M113 at the Wal Mart in Clovis, Ca. today, but didn't find the Panzer. After hearing Morian Miner's review of the Panzer (minus the problems), I want it even more! There's a couple more stores to check in my immediate area, so maybe I'll have some luck! I can live with an RC M113, but the Panzer seems more fun.

Agree, I want one of these myself to see how "bad" it is despite it's flaws, but unfortunately there has'nt been any to show up yet in my AO.

I hit the jackpot regarding the RC vehicles!

I did the dangerous thing of leaving school in the middle of the day during a class break (its dangerous as one can risk not finding a parking space upon returning) went to the ghetto Wal Mart on the south side of Fresno, and low & behold they had 4 each of the RC M113s and Panzer IV's! Picked up a Panzer and then went back to school to find a perfect parking spot.

The paint job on the tank looks great and I like the fact that 21c/NMT gave us a different repaint. I'll have to try this tank out when I get home this evening, then find some way of getting a German tanker figure on it. Should I have some problems, then there are still 3 other tanks at the store on the top shelf, so they won't go anywhere for a long time.

Just got through running my Panzer IV around the house! As described earlier, it is pretty fast! The turret revolved nicely, though. I thought the sound was OK, but a cool feature nonetheless! I also experienced a similar problem with the wheels on one side moving while the others froze. At least on my tank that was due to the treads not being properly aligned. It works fine now, running best on a hard to somewhat soft surface. The tank seems to have a harder time turning on really soft carpet. It can get over some terrain obstacles rather well, however! I took a BoB German tanker, removed the waist and legs section and placed it into the commanders hatch for an added touch!

Here's a couple of pics from when I ran the tank in my backyard. The markings, fortunantly, differ from the S1 Panzer IV. It doesn't have the braces for the schurtzen either. You can see the green BoB German Tanker (half) that I put in the commander's cuppola.

Well this will teach me not to check the R/C threads out.Just seen one on ebay & intially was wary in case it was a scam.

Well came here & checked & WOW Very nice. I might be tempted to get one.

I`ll have to see as i got the R/C Batman Begins Tumbler Batmobile & my 5 year old daughter commandeered it off of me

Still it looks bloody fantastic & nice to see they made a great tank R/C

You just might want to get one, Ski. This is my first RC vehicle since I was 10! I really wanted to get the RC M-5, but it was too big and expensive. This Panzer IV has most of the same features and costs only around $50!

The gun does lower, but only when the turret turns. Or in other words, when the turret turns, the gun automatically raises and lowers. If the turret was moved about 45 degrees from the present position (left or right), the gun would sit lower; another 45 degrees and it would be higher. The turret also doesn't rotate the full 360 degrees, which was probably done to avoid hitting the antenna. Those limitations are a little annoying - but I'm just thrilled to have a working turret and independent suspension on a small RC tank!

If I get the Mk IV, I'll intentionally break the barrel drive. That would drive me nuts having a tank raise and lower the barrel like that, hehehe....

Well just checked that ebay link & got the 2 vid clips.It`s a great little tank

It looks very nice in motion. Is it mimic firing BTW? I got that impression from the sound.

Once I have the tanks i have deals on at present sorted & collected here I think i may have to start the hunt fo r one of these too

As well as filling our members/readers in on these new tanks, THQ will be a good place for you guys who are now getting into a new area of the 1/18th XD hobby (RC) , to get advice from experienced rc tankers on keeping these tanks running, and possibly upgrading RC performance.
