I bought a Logan's Run vehicle ( hover car?) resin kit a couple of years ago mostly
because it was 1:18 scale ( and there sure isn't much 1:18 to buy out there).
Now that I have the time and space to work on it, what is the best glue to use on resin?
What type of putty or filler should I use on gaps, and will regular acrylic model paint be fine?
Thanks,
Andy

Re: Resin kit build questions
Ya just need a good primer. Vallejo has some airbrush primers I hear are REALLY good.
CA glue works fine.
I use Aves because it was on hand... I too would like to know of some other fillers.

You need to use CA glue or super glue. They sell the glue in bigger bottles at hobby stores.
You can use any filler white stuff green stuff squadron putty.
I use bondo glazing putty. it is red and sets up fast. It also sticks to painted surfaces.
Acrylic paint will work on resin.
As Flyboy said YOU NEED TO USE A PRIMER FIRST BEFORE YOU PAINT.
This does 2 things covers the resin and shows off pin holes. I use a lighter shade . It shows off the holes better.
Then use the putty to fill sand and prime again.
I had an old post on this subject.

I hear the Vallejo primer is good at filling pin holes but will keep the small details. It also comes in German Grey! I wish they would make one in Red oxide...
