Don't know what you would use this for but I think it would make a great nazi UFO:

Isn't Pickelhaube working on a Horten?
Supposedly the Roswell UFO was a Soviet spaceship designed by the Horten brothers.

Re: My favorite Martian
hm...German 'ufo's' were experimental flying discs...what are popularily called flying saucers now. It's likely the US captured some of the research data and did their own developmental work in the late 40's and early 50's. All very hush hush because of the new commie threat.
Of course most of the captured data didn't really pan out, either because it was too far fetched or because more practical and easier to implement technologies became available.
But some of the captured data was used (and is still with us today). Surface to air missiles, jet fighters (Migs and Sabres), delta wing jets (Lippisch) and apollo rockets (von Braun) all stemmed from captured german research and scientists. But lots of stuff, like the flying discs, went nowhere, simply because they weren't practical and better technologies came along.

Re: My favorite Martian
The Fighting 1:18 posted a email from Larry @ Pegasus saying if the X-1 sells Larry would "love" to do the X-15. My Favorite Martian's UFO kit would be of great use, if it sells also, giving Pegasus twice the reason to make a X-15 (the jet that forced My Favorite Martian to land his UFO and begin his journey on this popular tv series).

Anyone here from Fighting 1:18 who can follow-up with Larry @ Pegasus on the X-15? A great question to ask Larry would be, if the My Favorite Martian UFO can be followed with Pegasus's much "loved" wish to make the X-15? Of which can be wrapped in My Favorite Martian packaging to attract + sell to sci-fi fans. And later, re-used, repacked, to attract + sell to military model fans or 1:18 fans.

I didn't know about how he got stranded. It would be awesome to have that plane, one of my favorites. Wasn't the Hulk on that show too? (Bill Bixby)

Re: My favorite Martian
You got it right. Its Bill Bixby / Incredible Hulk. If Hasbro's Marvel Universe does a Lou Ferrigno (head sculpt) action figure of tv Hulk, comic fans will want a X-15 jet, just to pair their Ferrigno / Hulk figure with a Bill Bixby figure, included for the heck of it with the X-15. Bixby is not the the X-15 pilot. But hey. He's a main character in a show that's science fiction - emphasize that last word - fiction! Maybe a more factually accurate real life pilot can be re-packaged in a seperate future X-15 re-release; like the test pilot below. Till then, its Bill Bixby of the Hulk. And now he's THRICE the reason to make the X-15 happen = for sci-fi fans, 1:18 fans, and comic fans! C'mon Pegasus, make it happen!!popeye357 wrote:I didn't know about how he got stranded. Re: My favorite Martian
well i heard that Pegasus may do an X-15 but i doubt they would do a My Favorite Martian tie in with it.
The Pegasus Bell X-1 is great and i suspect will sell well. Hopefully that will mean an x-15, after the Komet of course.

An Me-163 in 1:18 would sell big time! and I dare say better then their V-1 which was a great model. Come on Pegasus bring on the Komet!
