Nice job! Looks like it would match the 21c S1 Panzer IV quite well. I picked up an extra 88 myself from the Monkey Depot clearance in 2008 that I've been meaning to paint... Your work keeps giving me ideas and motivation :)

There were so many paint scheme varieties 21c could have gotten from their 88mm gun toolling had they not folded. Instead, they gave us one of the most boring schemes in the book :?

flyboy, you inspired me to repaint my own 88. Unfortunately I don't have an air brush, so I just used a paint brush and tamiya red brown. It is no where near as good as yours, but it looks a heck of a lot better now.

The only thing that puzzled me was how much of the gun was really camouflaged in real life? I just followed the Company of Heroes scheme, which includes the shield (both outside and inside), the gun up to the breach and the arms. Was the main body of the gun left in a plain colour or was it also camouflaged?

Probably camoed... It is hard to say... I guess you could basically paint everything from the shield up. But, be creative, I'm surr the germans where. LOL
