FOV King Tiger Help!!! Which one should I get???

I know that FOV had released many king tiger tanks in 1/32. I just wanted some advice on which one is the best king tiger that FOV made in 1/32. My 1/32 collection still lacks a king tiger, so I am itching for one. Thanks.

I personally like 80401, the s.pz.abt 501 "333" -Germany 1944 version, the best. It's paint scheme is pretty accurate and it is an Eastern front vehicle, unlike all the other KTs.

I personally think UN80054 King Tiger Porsche Turret France 1944 is fantastic.

Although people seem to favor the "Serien Turm", rather than the first Krupp turret..

That one is my favorite of the FOV King Tigers as well. They did a great job overall with the paint scheme, weathering, accuracy and all. If you had to get one and only one, I would say get this one.

The Porsche Turret version also looks great as well. The turret has some nice interior detail (you can see seats and the gun breach through the hatches) though it is of plastic construction and sits a bit high on its collar. Because of the different turret, you can get this tank and the standard KT and technically have two different vehicles

It seems that king tiger 333 is exceedingly popular. Does anyone know when this tank was released and whether or not if it is "retired"?

I've only have two King Tigers, one FOV #132 and a 21st Century #212, the FOV has better paint and detail, but the 21st isn't bad at all, I really miss the 21st stuff, a great model for the price.

The nice thing about the 21c tank is it has more opening hatches, well at least one more. I think the FOV tank is the better one overall, but 21c did do a nice job with theirs.

Wow Heer, I would say that is a very nice purchase and good deal too. It is also my favorite version, but #80201 (Germany) is nice too. Wish i had bought one of those when they were readily available...Oh well, at least i got to purchase another of my "regrets", the Tunisia Matilda. Don't know why i did not keep one of those originally...

Yeah, I had my regrets as well. One of the biggest one is not getting the S1 FOV 1/32 panther. However, of all the pictures I have seen of the S1 panther, there is something wrong about it. Something wierd, just can't put my finger on it, so I sometimes have no regrets.

Nevertheless, I will try to post a review of this king tiger when it arrives. My 1/32 collection has grown a lot, since I got the panzer IV a few weeks ago, and now this!!

Yeah, I had my regrets as well. One of the biggest one is not getting the S1 FOV 1/32 panther. However, of all the pictures I have seen of the S1 panther, there is something wrong about it. Something wierd, just can't put my finger on it, so I sometimes have no regrets.

That's because its gun mantlet is upside down and its cupola is a little too high. One of those is easily fixed (the mantlet), the cupola is just something one has to tolerate unless you'd like to do some serious cosmetic work.

Thanks for the info. I knew there was something wrong. I also looked at the S2 release, and it looks horrible. The "V" stripes is the worst paintjob ever. Although I am in need of an panther, FOV does not seem to have good panther tanks.
