It took me some time to actually a Red Skull, but I like him just the way he is. Perfect figure to stand behind a group of bad guys.

Are they hard to find? They seem to be on the pegs here.

Out here, he and Cross bones are pretty dang impossible to find. The Cap figures also seem to be moving though, so I suspect retailers didn't restock that many. I also suspect that the case pack is fairly even, so people who just want bad guys may be picking up Red Skull and Cross bones (can't blame them, though I have most of the Cap figures and like them).

I found one that has white gloves, brown boots and a light green uniform at Target. It has the same UPC as the regular version. Is there anything special about it? I picked it up in case there is something special about it.

...that's the "variant" out there now. Some are trying to sell him for inflated prices at auction.

I suspect he's the replacement for the first release. The colors are more cartoony I think, but I'll get one if I see one.

Just guessing the original looks too close to a nazi perhaps, and we'll be seeing more of this one maybe? Hence the same UPC number.

Question: is the Target exclusive (in the 2-pack) Red Skull much different than the original as far as the garb he's wearing? Like to possibly get him. Though they all need hats. :?

He'll be everywhere and of the 4 red skulls made the one I like the least.

There was a SDCC repaint of the Indy German Col. Vogel (sp?).
There was the first version of the Cap America movie line with red hands and a suit that is somewhat similar to the Hydra Soldiers.
There was a Arctic Cap / Red Skull Target 2-pack exclusive repaint (hard to find) that is the best ... as his uniform is grey and red and kinda works well with the Destro from the GI Joe movie.
Finally there is the brighter green.

Two scuplts: SDCC from Indy line and 3 Captain America repaints with the Target 2 pack you mentioning being the best.

Later this week I can get home early enough to get them out in the light for a quick digital photo. The two single carded figures have the same "item" number, but I didn't compare their UPCs.

Here are the 4 versions of Red Skull (v1, v2, v3, and v4):

This next photo is Red Skull v2 w/ a single card movie Hydra agent and Red Skull v3 (Target 2 pack) with a RoC Destro:

I still like v1, but the v3 is a close second.

Thanks for the details. I didn't realize there were that many Red Skull figures out there. I believe I favor both the SDCC version (never got one) and the first (Grey coat) version from the Cap line.

Thanks for the pics MonCal. I have to agree the SDCC looks the best IMO.

Oh, you should pick him up on ebay. His head sculpt is true to the silver age comics (or are they gold age).

You guys need to see one of my Mon Calamari army shots. ;)
