How to replace the front windshield of a 1/18 Blackhawk?
How to replace the front windshield of a 1/18 Blackhawk?
Who has an idea and a simple method (I'm not so skilled)? With the time, the windows got some scratches. I would also like to replace the front doors windows, to get a more acurate look. Thank you for help.

There is no easy way to replace the front glass. You could possibly polish out the scratches. Not too much skill involved just a lot of elbow grease.
Are you talking about the side sliding doors or the widows behind the cockpit ?
I make a set of static windows in the opened position.
You need to cut the original windows out so that mine will pop in.
There are all kinds of way to polish out scratches. Using tooth paste is popular. Also using future floor polish works I am told. Google polishing scratches in canopies and you will find many ideas.
Cutting out the original glass should be your LAST OPTION.

Thank you PH,
It is nice to benefit here at SSMHQ the service of the best advisor
. So... better trying tooth paste for my front windshield
. I got your special custom kit for the side bays, that perfectly snap in place in my PAVEHAWK. Though, I still have a Blackhawk under way and I was speaking about the cokpit doors: BBI made a small but strongly riveted window into the window, and I didn't found on all picks this thing: the real cockpit door window is much more simple, offering a better, non stop outdoor view.
The problem is that, if one's want to replace the window, there is only a very thin frame to fix a better one... Better keeping it "as it", until you make a new kit "pair of cokpit doors" ???
