I bought two halftracks and a Tiger I because they were cheap but they are paited with white acrilyc paint. Any ideas how to get it off without damaging the original paint?

Try plain ole Windex.
Some guys I have seen use this to thin out white washes. It may work on your situation.
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

AFAIK windex also works to thin certain acrylics. Sometimes water can give them a slight glossy look but windex can thin them. Also try alcohol, I'm not sure if it will eat the old paint. Or just pay someone to repaint it for you if you can't.
