All Sturmtigers built were used in combat, just not in their intended roles (except for the 2 used during the Warsaw uprising). They were used during Bulge and then afterwards in defensive roles.
The sturmtiger was developed as heavy infantry support, so that it can reduce an entire apartment complex to rubble in about 3 shots. It was not a tank destroyer, though it could destroy tanks. I would imagine that it would be used as supporting artillery in 1945. I'd be interested in hearing about any actual "combat" they engaged in outside of Warsaw. Unless by combat you mean being shipped to a front and then abandoned intact or blown w/o gas before actually getting within a 100 yards to shoot at anything.

If you don't then virtually no artillery pieces or self propelled artillery have seen 'actual combat'.
As a side note, this coversation prompted me to watch a documentary on the Warsaw Uprising last night on Youtube. I always get angry when i watch something about the Uprising. Stalin was such a prick.

No problem, I was worried when I joined this forum that I may come off as "commercial". Although I sell these models on a daily basis, I think its clear I am fascinated by them and their history! Its great to have met a community that is as enthused as I am!EnedmyAce - Thanks for posting that! Like I said, I'd never been able to find any actual report of their use in combat outside of Poland. I once did some searching, and all the mentions of them in US records are that they were found abandoned, and nothing turned up in German records about them actually fighting, either. I'll have to see if I can dig up any more details on one blowing up three shermans at one go. The thing could only shoot once every 5 minutes or so, so I guess there'd better not be a fourth sherman!
